The Atlanta Police Department has arrested a suspect over a car robbery in which hard drives containing unreleased tracks by Beyoncé were reportedly stolen.
Kelvin Evans was taken into custody after being charged with Entering Automobile or Other Motor Vehicle With Intent to Commit Theft or Felony in late August, Billboard reports.
Evans has not yet been released, and police confirmed that “the stolen items have not been recovered at this time”.
The theft occurred when the Cowboy Carter tour was in Atlanta for four nights in July. Two suitcases were alleged to have been stolen from a rented Jeep.
In a 911 call released by the Atlanta PD, Beyoncé’s choreographer Chris Grant claimed, “They have my computers, and it’s really, really important information in there. I work with someone who’s like of a high status, and I really need my computer and everything.”
According to the call, the window to the trunk of the Wagoneer had been smashed. Fingerprints were lifted from the scene, an incident report revealed. Investigators flagged a vehicle in the area, and an arrest warrant was issued.
The Cowboy Carter tour continued as planned, and the tour wrapped about two weeks later in Las Vegas.
