Oasis website crashes after Chris Evans promises fans “big news for 2026” and Liam Gallagher toys with fans

The Oasis website has crashed after Chris Evans promised fans “big news for 2026” and Liam Gallagher toying with fans online.

Around 8am this morning, Evans made remarks regarding the iconic Manchester band on his Breakfast Show, telling listeners that Oasis news was arriving today (October 2) – adding that it’s “big news for 2026”.

Following Evans’ comments, the oasisinet.com website reportedly crashed around 9am, displaying an ‘Error 44’ and ‘access denied’ message to visitors. The website is no longer down as of 12pm.

Liam Gallagher has also been stoking rumours of what’s in store for Oasis. On the band’s final night of their giant Wembley gigs on September 29, Liam told the crowd: “See you next year”.

He went on to whip up a frenzy on X/Twitter yesterday (October 1), telling fans that there was a “big announcement coming soon” and to “keep your eyes peeled”.

After asking fans if they were “ready” and checking if they needed “another 5 mins“, he announced: “Rite [sic] this is it we’re going in – I AM THE FUCKING BOLLOCKS”.

Gallagher then shared a tweet reading “MMXXV11”, but swiftly deleted the tweet – with one fan suggesting the frontman “wants Oasis to break the Internet again“.

Fans have speculated that Oasis may celebrate the 30th anniversaries of their legendary Maine Road and Knebworth gigs by playing Etihad Stadium and Knebworth next year. However, no concerts there have been confirmed – currently, the band have 13 dates remaining across Asia, Australia and South America.

Meanwhile, their 30th anniversary reissue of their seminal album ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ will arrive tomorrow (October 3) via Big Brother Recordings. The album has sold 22million copies globally, and went on to become the UK’s third biggest selling studio record of all time.

The reissue will come in various vinyl formats and will feature five new unplugged versions of classic tracks, produced and mixed by Noel Gallagher and his engineer Callum Marinho, including ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Morning Glory’, ‘Champagne Supernova’, ‘Cast No Shadow’ and the aforementioned ‘Some Might Say’ B-side, which you can listen to below. It will also be released as a double CD.

It will also feature new artwork shot by original sleeve designer Brian Cannon and new sleeve notes.

The band also recently announced the reissue of their popular Wembley live album ‘Familiar To Millions’ to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

The reissue will offer the record in limited edition formats in both 2CD and 3LP formats, with the vinyl coming in Official Story silver, Amazon red and black marble and HMV blue vinyl. It’s set to drop on November 14 via Big Brother Recordings – you can pre-order your copy here.

Elsewhere, Liam Gallagher has hit back at reports he “relented on his booze ban” for the Oasis tour afterparty.
