Lily Allen appears to hold funeral for husband in new music video

Lily Allen appears to stage a symbolic funeral for her estranged husband in the video for her song Tennis.

The British singer-songwriter sparked headlines in October with the release of her explosive fifth studio album, West End Girl, which was inspired by her shock split from Stranger Things actor David Harbour.

On Monday, Lily shared a visualiser for the track, showing the 40-year-old dressed in black and sitting motionless on a park bench as two men carry a funeral-style floral tribute spelling out “husband” into view.

Without acknowledging her, the men dump the arrangement into a bin beside her before walking away. Moments later, Lily remains expressionless as she is struck by a tennis ball.

In Tennis, Lily references a woman named Madeline, whom she accuses her partner of having an affair with after seeing a message from her appear on his phone.

In the track, she sings, “I can’t get my head round how you’ve been playing tennis/ If it was just sex I wouldn’t be jealous/ You won’t play with me and who the f**k is Madeline?”

Earlier this month, the Not Fair hitmaker released the song Madeline as a single, in which she seemingly addressed the alleged infidelity in her marriage.

Lily began dating the American actor back in 2019, and the pair married at a Las Vegas chapel the following year.

Reports emerged in December 2024 that they had separated amid allegations of infidelity on David’s part.
