The Britpop icons shared in an Instagram post this afternoon (November 17) that they’ll be headlining Live From Wythenshawe Park on August 28, and that it’s in line to be their only big UK headline show of the year.

Self Esteem has been announced as special guest, with more acts to be added to the line-up in due course.

Fans can sign up to Pulp’s newsletter by the end of Tuesday (November 18) here to receive a link to the Pulp pre-sale at 10am on Wednesday. General sale will be on Friday, and you can find tickets here.

While the band said it would be their “only major UK headline concert” of the year, they’re set to be busy elsewhere as their ‘Here Comes More’ tour continues. They’re heading to Australia and New Zealand in February for a series of shows, before playing the French festivals Beauregard Festival and Les Eurockéennes and Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival in July.

Earlier this year, Pulp played a series of UK dates, including a set at Glastonbury Festival, two shows at London’s The O2, and a homecoming headline slot at Sheffield’s Tramlines Festival.

Pulp’s 2026 tour dates are:

FEBRUARY
21 – Spark Arena, Auckland, New Zealand
24 –  Riverstage, Brisbane, Australia
27 – Adelaide Festival, Adelaide, Australia

MARCH
03 – Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne, Australia
06 – Sydney Opera House Forecourt, Sydney, Australia
07 – Sydney Opera House Forecourt, Sydney, Australia

JULY
02 – Beauregard Festival, Hérouville-Saint-Clair, France
04 – Les Eurockéennes Festival, Belfort, France
11 – Mad Cool Festival, Madrid, Spain

AUGUST
28 – Live From Wythenshawe Park, Manchester, UK

After first breaking up in 2002 and then getting back together between 2011 and 2013, Pulp reunited for a second time in 2022. They began touring again a year later, and in June this year, they released ‘More’, their first album in 24 years. It reached Number One in the UK and saw them receive a Mercury Prize nomination.

When NME asked frontman Jarvis Cocker if there could be another Pulp album at the time of ‘More’s release, he said: “Maybe. We tried to not have a concept for this record or think, ‘This is it, this is our last gas’ …  Hopefully not in another 24 years, but maybe in a couple of years, there will be something else to say.”

Keyboardist Candida Doyle told NME at the Mercury Prize ceremony in October, meanwhile, that they were “not itching” to make another record despite the critical and commercial success of ‘More’. “An EP, maybe, or a single,” she suggested.

However, the following month, Cocker suggested that new music could be on the horizon. After drummer Nick Banks told Uncut, “We are playing some concerts in 2026, so the first half of next year is mapped out but that’s about it. Looking too far ahead probably Isn’t good for your mental health,” Cocker said: “We have a few months off at the start of the year and I am going to think about it then. Everybody’s enjoyed it as far as I can tell, so we might write some more songs, who knows?”

NME awarded ‘More’ four stars, writing: “Just as Blur did with ‘The Ballad Of Darren’ and Suede have managed on their immaculate run of post-reunion albums, Pulp have retained their original spirit and flair into a statement of middle age without feeling any less vital. As Cocker pines on the cinematic closer ‘A Sunset’, all things end, so just make the most of the time you have. It’s strangely beautiful, now they’re all fully grown.”

Last week, Pulp’s ‘Tiny Desk’ set was shared by NPR and saw the band play classic tracks including ‘This Is Hardcore’ and ‘Something Changed’. Check it out here.
