Taylor Swift has named her favourite-ever song from her own music catalogue.

During an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday night, host Stephen asked the pop star to list her top five tracks from her own albums, noting that he had asked the same question to music icons like Dolly Parton and Bruce Springsteen in the past.

In response, Taylor chose the 10-minute version of All Too Well, which she released as part of her re-recorded album Red (Taylor’s Version) in 2021.

“I’m really obsessed with The Life of a Showgirl right now, the whole album,” the 35-year-old continued, referencing her twelfth studio album, which was released in October.

Elsewhere, Taylor selected Mirrorball from 2020’s Folklore album but admitted she “can’t really do any of the others”.

“Oh, wow, OK. This is so much pressure,” she told the comedian, requesting a “little time to get back to” him to compile a definitive list. “Because I don’t have enough, see. I think I require a little bit of time to like, appreciate my work in a way… and it’s constantly changing, right? It’s a little too soon.”

“We could do an update at some point,” the Opalite hitmaker offered, while Stephen replied: “You’ve got all the time you need between now and May.”

In July, executives at CBS announced that they would be ending The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and retiring The Late Show franchise altogether in May 2026.

Taylor appeared on The Late Show to promote her The Eras Tour: The Final Show concert film and a six-part docuseries titled Taylor Swift: The End of an Era.

Both projects will begin streaming via Disney+ on 12 December.
