Kelly Osbourne hits back at critics of her dramatic weight loss after death of father: “It’s absolutely devastating that women can’t support other women”

Kelly Osbourne has hit back at hurtful comments about her weight loss, and said that she finds it “absolutely devastating that women can’t support other women”.

The dramatic weight loss comes after her father, heavy metal pioneer and Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, passed away back in July.

The Prince of Darkness died in his family home in Buckinghamshire following a heart attack. He was aged 76. Just over two weeks before then, he raised millions for children’s charities by playing his final-ever live show in his hometown of Birmingham.

In the time since, Kelly has been facing some harsh comments from people online about her appearance. She shared a now-deleted post on Instagram to hit out at critics and explain how she was still coming to terms with her father’s death.

“To the people who keep thinking they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like ‘Are you ill?’ or ‘Get off Ozempic, you don’t look right’. My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can,” she said in the clip.

“The only thing I have to live for right now is my family, and I choose to share my content with you and share the happy side of my life not the miserable side of my life. So to all those people: fuck off.”

Her mother, Sharon, then took part in a touching interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored and addressed the topic, saying: “She’s right. She’s lost her daddy, she can’t eat right now.”

Now, Kelly has made another series of posts, thanking people for their support, and continuing to hit back at those who make hurtful comments towards her and her family.

In the videos, shared to Instagram Stories (and available to watch above via Entertainment Tonight), Kelly added that the thing she finds “most disappointing in all of this” is the demographic largely responsible for the critical responses.

“Most of the comments are coming from grown-ass women,” she explained. “It’s absolutely devastating that women can’t support other women.”

As well as defending Kelly on Piers Morgan’s show, Sharon also used the interview to open up about her heartbreaking final moments with Ozzy, and reveal the moving final words he told her on the night of his death.

The music manager also revealed that she was tempted to send some faeces to Roger Waters following his attack on Ozzy shortly after news of his passing.

She came to blows with the former Pink Floyd member recently, when he said in an interview that he “couldn’t care less” about Ozzy’s music, and added that the late metal icon was “all over the TV for hundreds of years with his idiocy and nonsense”.

In response, Ozzy and Sharon’s son, Jack, branded Waters as “pathetic and out of touch” and said: “My father always thought you were a c*nt – thanks for proving him right.”

Sharon hit back at Waters, too, on a recent episode of The Osbournes podcast: “He has no charisma, he looks like Frankenstein. The guy is sick in the head, he is not relevant in today’s world. Nobody likes him.”

Shortly afterwards, a new shirt was listed for sale on Ozzy’s merch page, showing a cartoon version of the Black Sabbath singer urinating onto a wall that resembled the cover of the iconic Pink Floyd album ‘The Wall’.
