“I am hoping to gradually get back to performing and continuing pursuing my dreams,” singer-songwriter says a day after making first public appearance in three months
Lola Young has penned a hopeful message of gratitude after collapsing onstage at All Things Go in New York City in September, which led her to cancel her North American tour and events for the time being.
On Saturday, she took to Instagram to thank those who have supported her and gave an update on how she’s doing.
“I just wanted to express gratitude to everyone who has given me time and space to gather myself and get my head in a better place,” she wrote. “I’ve felt so much love and support from you all and it has helped more than you will ever know.”
She also hinted that fans might soon be able to see her onstage again. “I am hoping to gradually get back to performing and continuing pursuing my dreams,” she added. “Happy holidays to you all and can’t wait to see you in 2026.”
Her update comes on the heels of her first public appearance over the weekend since she announced she was “going away for a while” following her onstage collapse three months prior. On Friday, Young made her first public appearance at Lily Allen’s Christmas party along with Olivia Rodrigo. Photos taken from the event show the trio posing together.
In Young’s note on Saturday, she concluded by sending love and writing, “Life is a journey, nothing is perfect but today I am doing well.”
Young released her third album, I’m Only F**king Myself, in September and was planning to support it on tour prior to her onstage collapse. In October, Young’s lawyers filed a legal dispute in London alleging that producer Carter Young claimed unearned songwriting credits on four unspecified songs of hers.
