Lola Young hopes to “gradually” return to performing, almost three months after collapsing on stage.

The 24-year-old star cancelled all her planned appearances “for the foreseeable future” after suffering a medical issue during the All Things Go Music Festival at Forest Hills Stadium, New York City, on 27 September and now she has told fans she “can’t wait” to see them next year and offered reassurance that she is “doing well”.

In a note shared to social media, Lola wrote: “I just wanted to express gratitude to everyone who has given me time and space to gather myself and get my head in a better place.

“I’ve felt so much love and support from you all and it has helped more than you will ever know.

“I am hoping to gradually get back to performing and continuing pursuing my dreams.

“Happy holidays to you all and can’t wait to see you in 2026.

“Life is a journey, nothing is perfect but today I am doing well.”

Days after her collapse, the Messy singer announced she would be “going away for a while”.

Lola wrote on Instagram: “I’m going away for a while. It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future. Thank you for all the love and support. I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know.

“Obviously you will be entitled to a full refund.

“I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger. Love you all, Lola x. (sic)”

Lola previously cancelled a gig in Washington, D.C. a day after collapsing onstage.

In a statement posted on Instagram, she wrote: “I’m sorry to confirm that I won’t be playing All Things Go in DC today.

“I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this.

“I hope you’ll all give me another chance in the future. Thank you to all those who listen and care. To all the people that love to be mean online, pls give me a day off. (sic)”

After her collapse in New York, Lola told fans she was “doing OK”, writing in a social media update: “Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now. Thank you for all of your support, Lola xxx. (sic)”

Speaking before the medical incident, Lola told the crowd in New York that she’d had a tough couple of days.

She said: “Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue, but you know what, today I woke up and I made the decision to come here, and I wanted to be cool … and sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.”

The Big Brown Eyes singer previously reflected on her “struggle” with sobriety after checking into rehab last year to address her drug addiction.

She told the Guardian newspaper: “It’s been a struggle – I’ve definitely had to work on some internal healing while grappling with touring and stuff …

“I’ve had to be away for a bit while battling with things. But it teaches you a lot, being addicted to substances. It makes you more empathetic about other people that have gone through that. It’s just a constant journey.”
