WHAM! reclaim the summit: Last Christmas becomes the final Number 1 of 2025

Last Christmas wrestles back the Number 1 spot this week to earn WHAM! the final chart-topping single of 2025.

After being knocked of the top by Kylie Minogue’s XMAS last week to just miss out on Christmas Number 1, George and Andrew find Last Christmas earning its 12th non-consecutive week at the summit.

Mariah Carey and All I Want for Christmas Is You move one place to Number 2.

Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree from Brenda Lee reaches a new peak, capping off a strong year for the 1962 festive classic (3).

That means this year’s Christmas Number 1 XMAS sits at Number 4, while Fairytale of New York from The Pogues ft. Kirsty MacColl levitates into the Top 5 (5).

Following the sad news of his death on Monday (December 22), Chris Rea’s Driving Home for Christmas moves 20 places to break the Top 10 (10).

Gwen Stefani’s Shake the Snow Globe is your highest climber this week, vaulting an impressive 44 positions to a new peak (16).

A host of winter bangers also earn new bests: Dean Martin’s Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! moves six (12), Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Darlene Love rises 12 spots (20), while The Christmas Song from Nat King Cole is up ten (21).

And Christmas tracks to enter the Top 40 in the final chart of the year include:

Merry Christmas – Ed Sheeran & Elton John (29)

Mistletoe – Justin Bieber (30)

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas – Perry Como (31)

White Christmas – Bing Crosby (33)

Carol of the Bells – John Williams (36)

DJ Play A Christmas Song – Cher (37)

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas – Frank Sinatra (38)
