The legal battle involving Jane’s Addiction and frontman Perry Farrell has come to an end. According to court documents obtained by People Friday, bandmates Dave Navarro, Eric Avery, and Stephen Perkins settled their lawsuit against Farrell following their infamous onstage fight in 2024.

The Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, dismissed the lawsuit, originally filed in July, on Monday, Dec. 22.

The dismissal also arrives about a week after Farrell issued a public apology to his bandmates over the incident, accepting that he “didn’t handle myself the way I should have.”

“Jane’s Addiction has been at the center of my life for decades. The band, the songs, the patrons, and the impact that we’ve had on music and culture mean more to me than any words I could ever possibly write down,” Farrell wrote at the time. “My aim has always been to give our audience the best possible show, something real, honest and positive. In Boston, we fell short of that, and I’m truly sorry to everyone who was impacted.”

Jane’s Addiction also shared a statement of their own, saying that the band “unilaterally determined it would be best to not continue the tour,” adding that they “made inaccurate statements about Perry’s mental health, which we regret.”

The band wrapped its note by confirming the end of the group: “Jane’s Addiction will forever live in our hearts. We are proud of the music we created together.”

Navarro, Avery, and Perkins originally accused Farrell of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract. The suit alleged that the group lost over $10 million as a result of the tour’s cancellation and cessation of all band activities.

Reps for Farrell and the band did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.
