Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs‘ sons are set to share their “personal story” of his trial in a new docuseries.

Earlier this year, Combs was sentenced to four years and two months in prison following his conviction on federal prostitution-related charges. A judge said a “substantial sentence” was required to “send a message to abusers and victims alike that abuse against women is met with real accountability”.

In July, 12 New Yorkers acquitted the music mogul of sex trafficking and racketeering charges, which carried a potential life sentence. They did, however, find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution involving his two ex-girlfriends, Cassandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura and “Jane”.

Now, his sons Justin and Christian Combs have teamed up with Zeus Network for a docuseries about the trial, set for release in 2026.

They dropped a teaser for the project on Sunday (December 28), which shows them watching news coverage of Combs’ criminal trial. A series of words flash across the screen: “The rise. The family. The foes. The joy. The pain. Our voice. The loyalty. The betrayal. The hate. The highs. The lows. The love. The truth. The lies.”

The clip then shows them receiving a call from Fort Dix, the low-security federal correctional facility in New Jersey, where Combs is currently serving his sentence.

Lemuel Plummer, CEO of Zeus Network, said in a statement that the project is “not intended to endorse, defend or vindicate Diddy.”

Instead, “this documentary series is centred on providing Justin and Christian the opportunity to share their personal story and lived experiences, particularly as their lives have also been directly impacted,” he said.

“As a network, we believe in the importance of allowing individuals to speak for themselves, just as any credible network entering the documentary space does,” Plummer continued. “Our role is to provide a platform for stories to be told honestly and without pre-judgement. What viewers will see is raw, real, and authentic storytelling. That is the essence of this project.”

It comes after a four-part show, titled Sean Combs: The Reckoning, was released on Netflix earlier this month. It was first reported that 50 Cent – real name Curtis Jackson – was working on the doc in 2023. He serves as an executive producer on the project, which was directed by Alex Stapleton.

Shortly after it was released, Combs’ lawyers sent a cease-and-desist to the streamer ahead of its airing, claiming that the series uses “stolen” footage.

Netflix has since defended the documentary, insisting it is “not a hit piece or an act of retribution”.
