Britney Spears has vowed she will “never perform” in the United States again.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the pop star posted a photo showing her sitting at a white Yamaha grand piano at the 2002 American Music Awards.

During the January 2002 ceremony, Britney performed her hit song, I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman, from the movie Crossroads.

In the accompanying caption, the Toxic hitmaker revealed she plans to gift the piano to one of her sons.

“Sending this piano to my son this year!!!” she wrote. “Interestingly enough, I dance on (Instagram) to heal things in my body that people have no idea about. Yup and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life…”

Britney went on to declare that she will never perform live in the U.S. again due to “extremely sensitive reasons”.

“But I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon,” the 44-year-old continued.

Britney shares sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Though she didn’t clarify which child she was referring to, the Princess of Pop has previously shared footage of “genius” son Jayden playing the piano.

Britney also posted a mirror selfie of herself and her younger son via Instagram this week.

“He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!” she added.

Britney has been estranged from much of her family since the end of her 13-year conservatorship, which lasted until November 2021.

However, the Gimme More star has indicated she was on better terms with her sons in recent social media updates.
