Paul Simon Extends A Quiet Celebration Tour With 2026 North American Run

After returning to the stage last year, Paul Simon has announced a fresh set of North American dates for his “A Quiet Celebration Tour.”

The summer run will launch June 4 at the Amphitheater in Palo Alto, California, and wrap with two nights at the Ravinia outside Chicago, July 17 and 18. The run will also find Simon returning to his home borough of Queens, New York, with a July 8 gig at Forest Hills Stadium. Simon grew up in the nearby neighborhood of Kew Gardens and last played in Queens in 2018, when he performed at Flushing Meadows Corona Park at the end of his planned farewell tour.

Tickets for all dates on the 2026 North American leg of the Quiet Celebration Tour will go on sale this Friday, Feb. 6. Full information is available on Simon’s website.

Along with his North American tour, Simon has a European and U.K. run scheduled for this spring. That leg will kick off on April 10 in Prague and end on May 20 in Dublin.

When Simon kicked off his A Quiet Celebration Tour last year, it marked his first proper trek since that farewell run in 2018. During that seven-year gap, Simon played the occasional gig and made surprise appearances at the 2022 Newport Folk Festival and last year’s SNL 50 special.

But any larger return, or even future musical endeavors, were seriously put in doubt after Simon lost most of the hearing in his left ear. It was only through his work with the Stanford Initiative to Cure Hearing Loss and his production team that Simon was able to create a new monitor setup that made playing live again possible.

Due to the delicate nature of his hearing and this setup, most of Simon’s shows last year took place at smaller theaters with pristine acoustics. But the musician appears ready to play larger venues again, with his 2026 itinerary boasting gigs at numerous amphitheaters around the country.
