Jack White calls for Donald Trump to be removed for “racist” Obama post, while Sheryl Crow says he should be “imprisoned along with every other person” who knew about Epstein

Donald Trump is under fire from big names in the entertainment world, with Jack White calling for his removal from office and Sheryl Crow saying he should be “imprisoned along with every other person” who knew about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Last night (February 6), the White House took down a racist meme shared on the US President’s Truth Social account, depicting former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama as apes.

While White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt urged people to “stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public” before they took it down, White has responded to it with a scathing post on social media.

“This post would basically get anyone, at any job, fired immediately…except for arguably the most important position in the world,” he wrote.

“That’s right, Trump is a racist, a rapist, a felon, a grifter (currently ordering the U.S. government to pay him $10 billion simply because no one will stop him), and a full-on dementia sufferer, and yet he has the power to send in Gestapo ICE soldiers to k*ll our citizens, and so much more dangerously, he has the nuclear codes and the ability to end humanity at any moment based on an egotistical whim,” he continued.

“How is it possible we’ve given this evil man so much power? The two-party system, the Electoral College, the responsibility the internet has brought to humanity and its direct conflict with truth, and America’s obsession with celebrity, are all to blame, but the fact that we aren’t stopping it is…insanity.”

“Arrest this man,” White urged. “Impeach this man. 25th Amendment this man. Indict this man. Jail this man.

“This longtime friend of p*dophile Epstein, who appears 40,000 times in the files. This demolisher of the White House, demolisher of the Constitution, demolisher of the Bill of Rights, this demolisher of America, full stop.”

Indeed, a recent New York Times report identified over 5,000 files that contained more than 38,000 references to Trump, his wife, Melania, and his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. Trump has always denied any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, who was arrested in July 2019 for sex trafficking minors, and was found dead in his jail cell in August of that year.

Trump’s friendship with the dead paedophile financier was well documented, but was said to have ended in the early ’00s. His resistance to releasing the Epstein files – a U-turn on his previous election promise to share them with the public – has led many to speculate that they contained damaging information about the President or those close to him.

Nodding to this, Crow joined White’s call for Trump and his administration to face repercussions. On her Instagram Stories, the singer-songwriter hit out at the lack of legal recourse, writing that “in other countries [those involved] are going down hard for it. Not in America. We’re just going to act like it never happened or that it’s fake.”

She continued, “Who are we if we do not stand up for children who are knowingly pedalled to rich leaders all over the world. [sic] Trump needs to be impeached and imprisoned along with every other person… Democrat, Republican, American, or foreign who knew this was going on and never said anything.”

White has long been a critic of Trump, and was among the many famous faces to criticise Trump over his “vile” comments about Rob Reiner’s death, after the President put forward false claims that Reiner’s murder was brought about by his “obsession” with criticising him.

The guitarist and Third Man Records founder called Trump a “disgusting, vile, egomaniac loser, child”, adding: “Neither he nor any one of his followers can defend this gross, horrible insult to a beautiful artist who gave the world so much. To use someone’s tragic death to promote your own vanity and fascist authoritarian agenda is a corrupt and narcissistic sin.”

“Shame on you trump and anyone who defends this,” he added. “God bless you Rob Reiner and thank you for what you gave the world. I never even met you and I still stand by you.”

The White House previously called White a “has-been loser” over his criticism of Trump, to which he called Trump “an embarrassment to American history”.

Both White and Crow’s comments come after the Department of Justice (DOJ) released some three million documents from the Epstein files, along with 2,000 videos and roughly 180,000 images last Friday (January 30). The release was the latest in a slew of material released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a law intended to reveal information collected during two decades of investigations involving the late convicted paedophile.

In light of their release, Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino implored Wasserman Music CEO Casey Wasserman to step down after he appeared in the files.
