The second single of the ‘Life of a Showgirl‘ album was brought to life earlier this month with new visuals written and directed by Swift, and boasting a star-studded cast including TV host Norton, Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lewis Capaldi, and Cillian Murphy.

Now, Swift has shared more from the 90s-inspired video, taking to Instagram to announce the new version by writing: “I never want to forget a single detail of this hysterical shoot, and now I don’t have to.”

The singer goes on to promise that the new cuts are “full of dance lessons, our phenomenal cameos, camcorder footage, gigantic scrunchies & fanny pack angles”.

The two-part extended version is currently only available to watch on Apple Music, Tidal, Spotify and Amazon Music.

In part one of the extended version, Swift shares more details on how she came up with the video idea while appearing on The Graham Norton Show. It’s also revealed that Murphy wasn’t present for filming, but was there “in spirit” as a poster in the fake mall.

During the cast’s appearance on the show back in October, Gleeson joked that he was “hoping to get in a Taylor Swift music video.” The extended version shows Lee, Turner-Smith, and Capaldi reflect on that moment, with Turner-Smith saying: “Thank god because I think we were all thinking it.”

Gleeson goes on to recall someone asking him after the show: “‘Did you see Taylor’s face after you said that?’… I was like, ‘There’s no way she’s thinking about it,’” he says.

Later, Gleeson appears to be shocked that he has to actually dance in the video. “This dance thing is new. I want everyone to know that,” he says in the behind-the-scenes footage.

Swift also further explains the concept of the video, which uses an infomercial format to sell “the revolutionary fix for your problems” that is ‘Opalite’.

The product promises that it “magically transforms your problems into your paradise using our state-of-the-art chemical potion. It works on friendships, couples, pets, and co-workers.” In the extended version, Swift explains: “Nope-alite is for people who want to choose to be unhealed, Opalite is for people who want to choose a path that serves them.”

In part two of the extended version, Swift directs Capaldi, Turner-Smith, and Lee on their cameos. Norton also makes an appearance to explain Swift’s process, saying: “The treatment was so detailed, and it’s so close to what we’re actually doing, and I think that’s quite a rare thing.”

When announcing the original video earlier this month, Swift explained that much of its inspiration “crash landed” into her imagination while doing press for her latest album.

She took a moment to explain Norton’s show for fans outside the UK, writing: “For those of you who aren’t familiar, it’s a UK late night show where Graham Norton (the insanely charismatic and lovable host) invites a random group of actors, entertainers, musicians, etc to be on his show and we all sit there and chat like it’s a dinner party.”

After saying she got “ridiculously lucky with the group I was paired with”, she recalled The Paper star Gleeson cracking a joke about being in one of her videos. “In that moment during the interview, I was instantly struck with an idea,” she continued.

It arrives after Norton previously praised Swift’s ability to be “so close to normal” despite her massive fame.

The ‘Bejeweled’ singer has appeared four times on The Graham Norton Show throughout the course of her career so far. While appearing as a guest on the Kyle and Jackie O radio Show, the host and comedian opened up about how down-to-earth Swift is despite being one of the world’s biggest stars.

“Someone like Taylor Swift, who is arguably the most famous woman in the world – it’s remarkable how she appears to be so close to normal,” he told the radio hosts (per her.ie).

Swift shared her latest album, ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’, in October 2025 and it was later confirmed as being the best-selling album of that year in the UK. The milestone made her the first artist to have the top seller in consecutive years for different albums since ABBA in 1977.

Since then, the singer became the youngest female artist to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame.
