Beartooth Inks With New Label & Releases Single + More Artist Signings

The sheer number of artist signings announced on a weekly basis makes it difficult to keep up, no matter how closely you pay attention to the industry news cycle. That’s why every other Tuesday, Billboard compiles the latest signings to labels, distributors, agencies, management companies and more, in an effort to provide a snapshot of the latest moves in the artist space, from household names to indie stars to emerging acts.

Rock/metalcore band Beartooth signed with Fearless Records. Its first release on the label is the single “Free,” released on Feb. 27.

“Fearless Records is proud to have Beartooth on the roster,” said Fearless Records president Andy Serrao in a statement. “We’ve been watching their growth as fans for many years, and now, we are excited to be partners. ‘Free’ is the perfect start to this next chapter.”

Of the single, Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo said: “‘Free’ is the start of the next chapter of my music and my life. The emotional roller coaster that is living can be very complicated at times. In one day you can equally experience pure fear and pure joy. This song shows a glimpse of what is to come from the next Beartooth album, which is the most honest depiction of my soul I will most likely ever make.”

Beartooth has enjoyed two No. 1 hits on Billboard‘s Top Hard Rock Albums chart: 2018’s Disease and 2023’s The Surface.

  • The K’s (Warner Music, ADA, LAB Records)

Warner Music, ADA and LAB Records struck a joint venture partnership with U.K. rock band The K’s. The band’s second album, Pretty on the Internet, hit No. 1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart when it was released last year. Its next album is slated for release in 2027.

The band’s releases will be worked by LAB Records and ADA in the U.K. and by Warner Music frontline teams globally. Atlantic Records UK A&R Craig Shardlow will work closely with The K’s in making the new album.

Mark Orr, founder and MD of LAB Records, said in a statement, “Having broken new ground with The K’s on their first two records — we are delighted to evolve our relationship with Warner and ADA as part of this fresh, unique joint venture. The goal has always been to retain the creative freedom and DIY spirit that has served this project so well to date, whilst not limiting the band or our ambitions globally. We have already shared some career defining moments together — watching them hold the ‘Number One’ trophy aloft on stage in Kendal last August is something the team and I will truly never forget. I can’t wait to see what this next chapter holds!”

Added Howard Corner, managing director of ADA UK: “The K’s are the quintessential ADA success story — a fiercely independent, hardworking band that has built a massive community through great music and relentless touring. Reaching No.1 was a landmark moment not just for the band, but for independent music in the North. We are thrilled to deepen our commitment to them and LAB Records through this innovative JV, as we collectively aim for even greater milestones in the years ahead.” — Chris Eggertsen

We’re here to bring the infrastructure to help them scale while staying true to who they are, and we couldn’t be more excited to go on this adventure with them.” — Chris Eggertsen
