The Pogues announce winter 2026 UK and European ‘Greatest Hits’ tour

The Pogues have announced a UK and European ‘Greatest Hits’ tour, taking place this winter.

The new dates come following various anniversary tours that the band have embarked on across the UK and North America lately, and this time they will be adding new UK and European shows into the mix.

Led by original members James Fearnley, Jem Finer and Spider Stacy, the band will once again be joined by a variety of special guest musicians and singers for the tour.

This time around, the jaunt will comprise all of their ‘Greatest Hits’ from throughout the years, including classics like ‘Fairytale Of New York’, ‘Dirty Old Town’, ‘A Pair Of Brown Eyes’, ‘Rainy Night In Soho’, ‘If I Should Fall From Grace With God’, and more.

The tour kicks off in Berlin on November 19, before continuing with stops in Munich, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, and Utrecht later that month.

UK shows begin in Portsmouth on November 28, and are followed by stops in Nottingham, Leeds, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle and Glasgow throughout December.

The tour ends with stops in Dublin, Belfast and Killarney on December 9, 10 and 12 respectively.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday (March 17) at 10am local time. Visit here for tickets and more information.

The Pogues UK and European 2026 tour dates are:

NOVEMBER
19 – Berlin, Tempodrom
20 – Munich, Kesselhaus
21 – Dusseldorf, Stahlwerk
23 – Hamburg, Große Freiheit
25 – Utrecht, TivoliVredenburg
28 – Portsmouth, Guildhall
30 – Nottingham, Rock City

DECEMBER
1 – Leeds, O2 Academy
3 – Birmingham, O2 Academy
4 – Manchester, O2 Apollo
5 – London, O2 Academy Brixton
7 – Newcastle, O2 City Hall
8 – Glasgow, O2 Academy
9 – Dublin, 3Arena
10 – Belfast, SSE Arena
12 – Killarney, Gleneagle Arena

News of the new tour comes after tributes were paid following the passing of drummer, Andrew ‘The Clobberer’ Ranken last month.

He was a founding member of the iconic folk group, helping bring the first line-up together in 1983. He acted as the drummer for the band in all of their studio albums and live shows up until their first hiatus in 1996.

Frontman Shane MacGowan also passed away, dying “peacefully” in hospital from pneumonia on November 30, 2023. He was 65 years-old and his funeral took place in Nenagh, County Tipperary on December 8 that year.

Last year, the surviving members of the group went on their first headline tour in over a decade, and brought along special guests to join them during their shows to fill in for MacGowan.

Around that time, they also spoke to NME about their celebration of the 40th anniversary of ‘Rum Sodomy & The Lash’, and said that Fontaines D.C. helped pave the way for the run of dates.

“Fontaines are a fantastic band, but they’re very much carrying their own torch,” Stacey said. “And Kneecap – Irish-language rappers – are without precedent. If you’re talking about bands like Lankum and The Mary Wallopers, that’s a different story because it’s more Pogues-like territory – to hear them doing what we do in their unique way is exciting. All of those bands are immense.”
