Harry Styles’ ‘SNL’ Performance Introduced by Ryan Gosling After Singer Crashed Actor’s Monologue

Harry Styles brought a taste of his latest album to Saturday Night Live.

The 32-year-old pop superstar pulled double duty as both host and musical guest on the late-night sketch show on Saturday (March 14), performing two tracks from his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.

After reflecting on his time away from music during his hilarious opening monologue, the former One Direction star launched the night’s musical performances with the groovy “Dance No More.” The colorful, disco-leaning set was fittingly introduced by actor Ryan Gosling, who hosted the previous week’s episode, during which Styles made a surprise cameo in the monologue.

The English musician shifted gears for his second performance, slowing things down as he sat at the piano for “Coming Up Roses.” Introduced by legendary singer-songwriter Paul Simon, the performance featured a sweeping string arrangement originally conducted by Grammy-winning arranger Jules Buckley. Styles delivered the yearning ballad in a sleek blue suit with a pink tie.

Styles’ SNL appearance comes in support of his latest album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., which arrived March 6. The project was previewed by the first two singles, “Aperture” and “American Girls.” The set follows Harry’s House, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2022 and won album of the year at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.

Saturday’s episode marked Styles’ second time pulling double duty as SNL host and musical guest. He has also appeared on the show four other times as a performer — three times with One Direction and once as a solo artist in 2017.
