Original Pussycat Dolls star Carmit Bachar has claimed that she was not invited to be part of the group’s upcoming reunion.

Earlier this month, three of the original six-piece line-up – Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt – announced that they were reuniting for a world tour later this year. They also released a new single, Club Song, to mark the occasion.

Carmit has now revealed that she found out about the reunion at the same time as the public.

“I was not contacted regarding the group’s decision to move forward, and I learned of these plans at the same time as the public,” she wrote in a lengthy Instagram post. “Given my history with the brand, having been part of its foundation long before its commercial debut and instrumental in the connections that led to the record deal… I would have appreciated direct communication.”

The red-headed singer and dancer noted that while it was “disappointing on a personal level” to not be invited to be part of the reunion, she remains “proud” of her role in The Pussycat Dolls’ legacy.

“My intention in sharing this is not to create division, but to honor the truth and the fans who have supported us throughout the years. Transparency and respect are values I hold deeply,” she continued.

“At this time, I am choosing to focus on my well-being and to move forward with positivity and purpose. I remain open-hearted about the future and grateful for the continued love and encouragement I receive.”

Carmit and original bandmate Jessica Sutta were set to embark on a reunion with Nicole, Ashley and Kimberly in 2020. However, the plan was abandoned due to the pandemic and a legal dispute between Nicole and the group’s founder Robin Antin. They reached a confidential settlement last year.

Jessica revealed over the weekend that she was “never planning to return” due to her health issues, however, she would have “appreciated a heads up” so she could be mentally prepared for the news.

The trio will kick off the PCD Forever tour in North America in June before moving to Europe in September. They will perform nine dates in the U.K. and Ireland before concluding with a night at London’s O2 Arena on 13 October.
