
Pamela Anderson reveals she secretly sang vocals on Mariah Carey hit, Loverboy.
The Baywatch star recorded the song with Mariah after they became friends in the early 2000s, according to music producer Damion ‘Damizza’ Young.
“So I go to the studio to finish up the recording of Loverboy, and Mariah says, ‘Pam’s coming by to do backgrounds,” he said of the 2001 song.
‘I’m a huge Baywatch fan, so I’m like, “Pamela Anderson’s coming by?! Oh, hell yeah!” So the next thing I know, we’re poppin’ champagne, and she’s like, “What do you want me to do?”‘
He then told how the now 58-year-old was a pleasure to work with.
“Pam Anderson can sing,” he said. “And she’s one of the smartest people I have ever met in my life. The dumb blonde thing is an act.”
The former Playboy model did once speak about her brief foray into music. “I did background vocals on her album,” she said while co-hosting the World Music Awards in 2014. “I was the ‘Whoooo!’ That was me.”
Loverboy reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
