Grupo Frontera, Guns N’ Roses & Turnstile Among Best of Day 2 of Tecate Pa’l Norte 2026

The second day of Tecate Pa’l Norte brought the spectacular launch of Guns N’ Roses’ world tour to Monterrey, Mexico, on Saturday (March 28) — featuring the live debut of their two new singles, “Nothin’” and “Atlas” — during a day characterized by a heavy dose of classic and alternative rock. Grupo Frontera also used the renowned festival to kick off their Triste Pero Bien C*brón Tour in grand style, with scheduled stops in multiple countries across Latin America and Europe.

Other acts like Turnstile, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Kygo, Simple Plan, The Warning, Enjambre, Cypress Hill, Elena Rose, Lasso, Judeline, Luck Ra and El Bogueto also stood out during the festival’s second day of activities, held at Parque Fundidora in the border city near the United States.

Among the surprise acts was Mijares, who took the stage to delight attendees with his classic “Soldado del Amor.” Additionally, Paty Cantú surprised the audience with a special appearance, showcasing her rockier side alongside the powerful trio The Warning. Likewise, a standout moment was the collaboration between singer-songwriter Paloma Morphy and young huapango folk-rock musician Macario Martínez on the Entre Cheves y Compas stage.

The program continues Sunday (March 29) with headlining performance by The Killers, and appearances by Zoé, Halsey, Panteón Rococó, Omar Courtz, Cardenales de Nuevo León, Marky Ramone, Rusowsky and Yami Safdie, among others.

Below are five of our favorite moments from day two of Tecate Pa’l Norte 2026. For a summary of day one, with Tyler, The Creator, Deftones and more, click here.

  • Guns N’ Roses

Guns N’ Roses chose the Tecate Pa’l Norte festival as the first stop of their new world tour, performing their new singles “Nothin’” and “Atlas” live for the first time — two hidden gems from their 2008 album Chinese Democracy. “It’s good to see you,” lead singer Axl Rose greeted the attendees.

The band opened with the 1987 classic “Welcome to the Jungle,” followed by a handful of songs that have captivated generations, such as “Mr. Brownstone,” “Bad Obsession,” “Live and Let Die” by Paul McCartney & Wings, “Slither” by Velvet Revolver, “It’s So Easy,” “Yesterdays” and “Double Talkin’ Jive.” Read the review, with the full setlist from the show, here.

  • Turnstile

After recently winning two Grammy Awards, the Baltimore hardcore band made their debut at the Mexican festival with one of the most energetic performances of day two. The group, led by vocalist Brendan Yates, opened their set with “Never Enough,” which sparked a mosh pit at the festival’s second stage, keeping the energy high from start to finish. Circles of people dancing and singing at the top of their lungs could be seen throughout the show. “T.L.C.,” “I Care,” “Don’t Play,” “Real Thing,” “Seein’ Stars” and “Holiday” were also part of the setlist.

  • Grupo Frontera

The Mexican-American band Grupo Frontera made the start of their 2026 international tour Triste Pero Bien C*brón one of the most anticipated comebacks at the festival, where they performed songs from their 2025 album, Lo Que Me Falta Por Llorar, as well as other hits that have catapulted them as one of the biggest acts in regional Mexican music today.

“They told us that some friends played here yesterday,” said vocalist Adelaido “Payo” Solís III to the audience, referring to the Colombian group Morat, whose hit “No Se Va” was covered by Frontera in a norteño version that reached No. 3 on the Hot Latin Songs Billboard chart in 2022.

The setlist also included songs like “La del Proceso,” “¿Por Qué Será?” and “De Lunes a Lunes.”

  • Los Fabulosos Cadillacs

The legendary Argentine band brought the rhythm to the festival with songs like “Manuel Santillán, El León,” “Calaveras y Diablitos,” “Los Condenaditos” and “Padre Nuestro.” For bassist Flavio Cianciarulo, performing in Monterrey is very meaningful, as his wife, with whom he shares son Astor, is originally from this city. “Playing here has very big emotional connotations,” he told Billboard Español prior to their show on Saturday. Their repertoire also featured songs like “Mal Bicho,” “El Satánico Doctor Cadillac” and “Matador.”

  • The Warning

The Villarreal sisters (Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra) performed in their hometown as one of the most anticipated acts at the festival, delivering a powerful show that reaffirms their rise as one of the most successful Mexican rock bands in recent years. The performance featured an explosive setlist matching their aesthetic, with songs like “More,” “S!ck,” “Escapism,” “Disciple,” “Hell You Call a Dream” and “EVOLVE.” Additionally, they surprised the audience with a special appearance by Paty Cantú, who showcased her rock side on stage by performing “¿Qué Más Quieres?” with them.
