The Chicago punk rock trio will hit the road this summer, having released three standalone singles last year: ‘Oblivion’, ‘Bleeding Out’ and ‘Surprise Surprise’. Their 10th and latest studio album, ‘Blood, Hair And Eyeballs’, arrived in 2024.
Matt Skiba and co’s summer tour is scheduled to kick off with three German gigs in Stuttgart, Berlin and Hamburg in late June and early July.
From there, Alkaline Trio will return to the UK for performances in Birmingham, Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester. They’ll make a stop at the O2 Kentish Town Forum in London on July 4.
“Summer in the UK and Germany!! Can’t wait!” the band wrote on social media to confirm the upcoming dates.
Tickets for the Germany shows go on general sale at 11am CEST today (Wednesday April 1). UK fans can buy tickets from 10am BST tomorrow (Thursday April 2). Buy yours here (UK) and here (Germany).

JULY

The group are also due to top the bill at this year’s 2000Trees in Gloucestershire this July, after wrapping up their own UK dates. They’ll then embark on a US tour with Rise Against in September.
Alkaline Trio last spoke to NME in early 2024 about their “apocalyptic” album ‘Blood, Hair And Eyeballs’, which followed 2018’s ‘Is This Thing Cursed?’. “It’s been the longest break Alkaline Trio has taken from putting out a new album, so I felt like we owed our fans the best record we could make,” explained Skiba.
Dan Andriano added: “If we’re going to album 10, let’s make it fucking awesome. We wanted it to be different. We wanted it to be special. We didn’t see any point in making an Alkaline Trio record that we’ve already made. We want to move forward.
“No matter what we do, though, Alkaline Trio is going to seep in there. As hard as we try sometimes, we can’t escape ourselves.”
