The fight against Parkinson’s disease has gained a legendary new ally. Sir Roger Daltrey, the iconic frontman of The Who, has officially lent his support to Think Loud 4 Parkinson’sa high-profile charity project dedicated to raising funds and global awareness for the neurological disorder.

Daltrey joins an elite roster of “famous faces” committed to the cause, including bandmate Pete Townshend, Alice Cooper, and Sir Richard Branson. The project is centered around a charity album and a series of musical releases aimed at supporting the UK-based charity Cure Parkinson’s.

The impact of Daltrey’s involvement cannot be overstated. Andy Simons, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Cure Parkinson’s, expressed the organization’s excitement at the partnership.

“Wow, what a coup to have Roger Daltrey involved in this,” Simons remarked. “Ian Grant and the Think Loud team are pulling out all the stops to raise funding to find a cure for Parkinson’s! Thank you so much on behalf of the 11.8 million people hoping for a cure.”

In a major musical contribution to the initiative, the “Superband” Blue Water Giants have announced their new single, ‘Dangerously in Love,’ set for release on April 29. The band’s connection to the cause is deeply personal; their consultant, Ian Grant, is currently living with Parkinson’s.

The group features a staggering lineup of rock veterans:

Josh Philips: (Procol Harum, Big Country)
Neil Taylor: (Tears For Fears, Robbie Williams)
Mel Gaynor: (Simple Minds, Elton John)

Following a high-energy set at the Isle of Wight Festival, the band is generously donating all income from the new single to the charity. The release includes the title track, an instrumental version, and a spirited cover of Procol Harum’s ‘Drunk Again.’

This latest push follows a surge in support from the rock community. Last summer, the late Ozzy Osbourne selected Cure Parkinson’s as a primary beneficiary for Black Sabbath’s historic farewell show at Villa Park. With legends like Daltrey now leading the charge, the goal of finding a definitive cure has never felt more attainable.

‘Dangerously in Love’ is available on all digital formats from April 29.
