Dave Grohl says Angine de Poitrine “absolutely blew my fucking mind” and called them “so completely bonkers, dude”

Dave Grohl has said that the “completely bonkers” viral duo Angine de Poitrine “absolutely blew my fucking mind”.

The Foo Fighters frontman is the latest person to fall for the leftfield charm of the anonymous duo, who are formed of ‘Khn de Poitrine’ on microtonal guitars and vocals and ‘Klek de Poitrine’ on percussion and vocals.

Speaking to Logan Sounds Off, Grohl was asked for a new artist that he had recently fallen for, and he was full of praise for Angine, whipping out his smartphone to share a video of the duo.

“It was sent to me yesterday by a friend and it absolutely blew my fucking mind and it’s called Angine de Poitrine,” he explained, while searching through his phone for the video link.

“And I believe they’re from Canada, perhaps Quebec, and I don’t know how to explain it other than you just have to watch these people,” he continued, before describing them as “so completely bonkers, dude.”

Angine de Poitrine released their second album ’Vol. II’ today (April 3), and it has been described as “brisk” and “high-voltage”, with the duo embracing “even bolder, more dynamic structures”.

They have been enjoying a new surge in fans recently having gone viral thanks to their unique image and costume, experimental style of music, and intricate live performances.

They have also recently expanded their 2026 UK and European tour dates due to phenomenal demand, with a string of UK dates in May now being joined by a run in September and October. See the full list of dates here and find any remaining tickets here.

As for Foo Fighters, their 12th studio album, ‘Your Favorite Toy’, is due for release on April 24 via Roswell Records/Columbia Records.

In February, Grohl revealed that the album was stacked with “uptempo” and “noisy, loud bangers” that feel like they’re from “the old days”, and they recently dropped the single ‘Caught In The Echo’.

They also showcased an as-yet-unreleased tune, ‘Of All People’, at their recent run of intimate UK and Ireland shows in Dublin, London and Manchester, and later this summer they will embark on their European ‘Take Cover’ tour, including two concerts at Anfield stadium in Liverpool (find any remaining tickets here).

They’ll play some North American dates over the summer and autumn, too, and have announced an Australia and New Zealand leg for 2026 and 2027.

They have also recently reflected on the sacking of drummer Josh Freese, describing it as a “decision that was best for all parties”.
