Gloria Trevi & Lola Índigo Join List of Honorees at Billboard Latin Women in Music 2026

Gloria Trevi and Lola Índigo will be honored at the fourth annual Billboard Latin Women in Music special, Billboard and Telemundo announced Monday (April 13). The artists join Becky G, Ivy Queen, Joy, Julieta Venegas and Young Miko, who were previously announced as honorees for this year.

The two-hour special will air live exclusively on Telemundo on April 23 at 9 p.m. ET and will pay tribute to “Latin female artists who are driving meaningful change and championing inclusion across the music industry,” according to a press release. It will also stream on Peacock and the Telemundo app.

Gloria Trevi will receive the Lifetime Achievement award, recognizing a career that has left a meaningful and lasting mark on music. Defined by pivotal moments, major achievements and a deep connection with audiences across generations, the Mexican icon has built over several decades a body of work that resonates worldwide, performing on international stages while maintaining a devoted fanbase.

On the Billboard charts, she has landed a dozen entries on Hot Latin Songs, including hits like “Cinco Minutos,” “Con los Ojos Cerrados,” and, of course, her iconic “Pelo Suelto.” On Top Latin Albums, her 11 entries include seven top 10s and four No. 1s: Gloria (2011), El Amor (2015), Inmortal (2016) and Versus (2017), the latter in collaboration with Alejandra Guzmán.

“At this moment in my life, receiving this recognition fills me with strength and gratitude,” Trevi said in a statement. “This honor confirms to me that everything that comes in life should be met with honest work and positivity. Hate is defeated with love, and music is something I love.”

Meanwhile, Lola Índigo will be honored with the Evolution award, recognizing an artist whose career is defined by continuous growth, creative transformation, and the courage to reinvent herself while staying true to her essence. After rising to fame on the reality Operación Triunfo, the singer and dancer quickly established herself as a bold and innovative force within Spanish pop. Since then, she has become one of Spain’s most prominent artists, with multiple hit songs, ambitious creative projects and performances on some of her country’s biggest stages.

On Billboard, she achieved her first top 10 on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100 chart with her collaboration on Maria Becerra’s “High,” also featuring Tini, which peaked at No. 2 in 2020 and was voted by Billboard readers as the “Best Latin Remix of the Summer” that year. “Her journey exemplifies resilience, risk-taking, and constant evolution, proving that true success lies not only in longevity, but in continuously challenging and elevating her artistry,” reads a press release.

As previously announced, Becky G will receive the Global Impact award, Ivy Queen will be honored with the Pioneer award, Joy with the Spirit of Change award, Julieta Venegas with the Artistic Excellence award and Young Miko with the Unstoppable Artist award.

The 2026 Woman of the Year will be announced soon.

Billboard Latin Women in Music is the only annual televised gala celebrating Latin women artists who are driving positive changes and fostering greater inclusion in the music industry. Now in its fourth successful year, it has established itself as a powerful platform where the most prominent artists in Latin music come together for an extraordinary night of music and camaraderie.

Last year, honorees included Anitta (Vanguard award), Belinda (Evolution award), Celia Cruz (Legend), Chiquis (Impact award), Ha*Ash (Unbreakable award), Natti Natasha (Unstoppable Artist), Olga Tañón (Lifetime Achievement) and Selena Gomez (Woman of the Year). Previous years’ honorees include Gloria Estefan, Thalia, Shakira and more.
