Riley Green, who received four Academy of Country Music Award nominations including album of the year last week, has new music to share with fans ahead of his debut on the CBS series Marshals.
Green will make his acting debut on the Yellowstone spin-off on April 19, and the following week, on April 26, he will perform “My Way” in character. Green plays Garrett, a former Navy SEAL teammate of Kayce Dutton (played by Luke Grimes) and Pete “Cal” Calvin (played by Logan Marshall-Green) who arrives in Montana with some demons he needs to put to rest.
If the song sounds familiar, it’s because Green debuted a short snippet several months ago online and fans have been clamoring for it ever since. He has also performed the self-penned tune a handful of times on stage, including during his recent Australian run in Sydney, Melbourne and at CMC Rocks festival.
Billboard is premiering a portion of the Dann Huff-produced studio version, which will be released Friday (April 17), via Nashville Harbor Records and Entertainment. In the tender, strings-laden ballad, the protagonist dreams of recapturing a lost love. Fans can presave the full song here.
