UPDATE (April 15): A limited number of tickets for the 2026 Tony Awards, hosted by P!nk, are now on sale to the general public. But they don’t come cheap. Tickets are priced at $731.80 (including $136.80 in fees) for Third Mezzanine and $936.60 (including $141.60 in fees) for Second Mezzanine and are available for purchase via the Tony’s website and Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster service charges will apply. There is a four-ticket limit and all sales are final.
Nominations will be announced on Tuesday, May 5.
PREVIOUSLY (April 9): P!nk, a lifelong theater fan, is set to host the 79th Annual Tony Awards, which will air live from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 7. The show will broadcast live to both coasts on the CBS, and stream on Paramount+ from 8 to 11 p.m. ET/5 to 8 p.m. PT.
“It is the honor of an entire lifetime to host a night celebrating the literal hardest working people in showbiz,” P!nk said in a statement. “Broadway has shaped my life and how I put my own shows together — it is a community that is supportive and inclusive and full of talent and love. These people give magic every single day, and I cannot wait to celebrate them with the entire world.
“When I was asked to host the Tonys, I immediately thought, ‘I have to get permission from my daughter,’” she continued. “I’ve never been on Broadway, and shouldn’t you have to have been on Broadway in order to host? That seems fair and right. But when I asked my daughter, she was really excited about being able to have a ticket to go to the Tonys, so I’m hosting the Tonys, and I’m really, really, excited and very nervous because that girl is a tough crowd!”
P!nk also shared the news with fans on Instagram.
P!nk, who has had four No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and three No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, is the biggest pop music star to ever host the Tonys. Josh Groban (who, like P!nk, has had three No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200) and Sara Bareilles (who has had one No. 1 album on that chart) co-hosted the 2018 show. Many stars of musicals have hosted the show, but few were major pop stars. Tony hosts who have achieved varying degrees of success on records include Julie Andrews (who topped the Billboard 200 with two Broadway cast albums and received a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy), Liza Minnelli (who also received a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy), Cynthia Erivo, Audra McDonald, Leslie Odom Jr., Bernadette Peters, Gregory Hines, Hugh Jackman and Kristin Chenoweth.

Kapoor is also the executive producer of the Grammys, Oscars and the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards.

P!nk’s music is featured in two current Broadway productions: “Raise Your Glass” in Moulin Rouge! The Musical and “F–kin’ Perfect” in & Juliet.
This will be the sixth consecutive year that a female star has hosted the Tonys. McDonald hosted in 2021. Ariana DeBose hosted from 2022-24. Erivo hosted last year.
P!nk’s No. 1 hits on the Hot 100 are “Lady Marmalade” (a collab with Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim and Mya), “So What,” “Raise Your Glass” and “Just Give Me a Reason” (a collab with Nate Ruess). Her No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 are The Truth About Love, Beautiful Trauma and Hurts 2B Human.
The Tony Awards are produced in collaboration with Tony Award Productions, a joint venture of the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League. In addition to executive producing the show with Sussman, Kapoor and Levine Hall will also serve as co-showrunners. Patrick Menton and Rob Paine will co-executive produce, with Menton also serving as head of talent.
