Madonna reveals Confessions On A Dance Floor Part II release date

Madonna will drop Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part II this summer.

The 67-year-old singer-songwriter has delighted fans by revealing she will release her new record on July 3, 2026, after teasing the album since 2023.

Madonna dropped a huge hint she was preparing an announcement after clearing her Instagram just days ago.

She has since returned to the social media platform with one post to her 20.3 million followers, which simply reads: “Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part II – July 3 2026”

Madonna used the same words for her Instagram bio, after previously changing her bio to “Time goes by so slowly”, lyrics from her tune Hung Up.

The star also gave fans a hint about her new album’s sound by teasing a 60-second video for the opening track, I Feel So Free.

Madonna’s new song features a nod to her 1985 tune Into the Groove, with the line: “Out here on the dance floor, I feel so free.”

On her Instagram Story, Madonna shared her new, throbbing, synthesised instrumental, over which she sings: “Thanks for coming. Sometimes, I like to just hide in the shadows, create a new persona, a different identity.

“I can be whoever I want to be, create a new persona. Honestly I wish I could be like other people and just not care, but out here on the dancefloor I feel so free.”

More than 570,000 people have liked Madonna’s album release date grid post, including fellow music stars Doechii, Jade Thirlwall and Romy.

Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part II will be Madonna’s 15th studio album, and her first since 2019’s Madame X.

News of Madonna’s upcoming release comes after she re-signed to Warner Records last September.

The Frozen hitmaker spent the first 25 years of her career with the record label and after almost two decades since her departure, she was “happy” to have reunited with the company.

She said in a statement: “From being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal to release just three singles, it seemed at the time my world would never be the same again and in fact that couldn’t have been truer.

“Since the beginning Warner Records has been a real partner with me. I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations.”

The superstar singer shared a series of photos on Instagram, including some of her with a typewriter, and wrote: “Almost two decades later – And it Feels like home with Warner Records!

“Back to music, Back to the Dance Floor, Back to where it all began! COADF- P. 2 [discoball emoji] 2026 (sic)”.
