Justin Bieber serenaded Billie Eilish and performed with SZA during his second performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Saturday night (18.04.26).

The 32-year-old singer faced criticism for his performance at the California music event last weekend, but for his show at the second weekend, he delighted fan with a string of surprises.

While a big portion of the set had echoes of weekend one, with the setlist drawing heaviliy on his Swag and Swag II records, the controversial YouTube section – where he scrolled the video-sharing platform to revisit old songs – saw him step things up a gear, pulling his famous superfan Billie onto the stage to sing One Less Lonely Girl for her, a callback to their first meeting at the festival in 2019.

Billie sat on a chair on the stage while Justin sang to her.

And as well as bringing out SZA to sing Snooze with him, Justin had other guest artists on the stage, including Sexyy Red on Sweet Spot and Big Sean on both As Long As You Love Me and No Pressure.

Among the highlights of Justin’s YouTube section – which featured lengthier clips than the previous weekend – was him singing along to a young-aged cover of himself performing Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me A River.

The Baby singer appeared more upbeat than the weekend before and even went into the crowd while performing Speed Demon.

At one point, he warned his “adrenaline is through the roof” and he might have trouble talking to the crowd because of the people around him, but the hoardes of screaming fans didn’t seem to mind.

The set list changed slightly from the weekend before, with the soulful Lyin’ making an appearance from the weekend before, while an acoustic version of Mother In You was enjoyed by the audience in Indio.

Weekend one saw Justin attract mixed views for his performance.

One viewer wrote on social media: “Justin Bieber giving us one of the laziest performances of all time.”

Another wrote: “Justin Bieber is the worst headliner at Coachella in history because wtf you’re just sitting with a laptop.”

One posted: “Justin Bieber 2026 Coachella performance may just be the worst mass streamed/televised performance… ever?”

However, others praised Justin’s decision to use YouTube for his set, with one fan branding him a “mastermind”.

During the performance, Justin invited audience participation by saying: “Help me with the songs tonight”.

He also asked supporters to suggest tracks via livestream comments, which he then selected in real time.
