Two-time GRAMMY® winner and global phenomenon Tyla is officially ready to reclaim her throne. The South African superstar has formally announced her highly anticipated sophomore studio album, A*POP, set to arrive on July 24, 2026. The announcement was accompanied by a sleek album trailer in which Tyla defines this new era as “unapologetic,” “confident,” and truly “global.”

APOP* serves as the follow-up to her record-breaking debut campaign, which saw her become the highest-charting African female soloist in Billboard 200 history. Since then, Tyla has evolved from a breakout sensation into a bonafide industry titan. The new project is spearheaded by the Billboard chart-topper “Chanel” and her latest viral sensation, “She Did It Again,” featuring Zara Larsson. The latter “broke the internet” upon release, with the music video racking up over five million views in its opening weekend alone.

The buzz for the new album has been building since February, when Tyla took home her second GRAMMY® for “Best African Music Performance.” Speaking on the red carpet, she teased that the new music felt “fresh and so… Tyla,” confirming that her unique blend of Amapiano and global pop has reached a new level of maturity.

The lead-up to the July release will be marked by a massive global presence. Tyla is currently nominated for four American Music Awards, including “Best Female R&B Artist” and “Best Afrobeats Artist.” Fans can also catch her headlining major international stages this summer, including Afronation Portugal, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and Hellwatt Festival.

On the day of the album’s release, Tyla will perform live in New York City as part of the TODAY Citi Summer Concert Series. With “Chanel” already dominating rhythmic airplay and social media platforms, APOP* is positioned to be the definitive soundtrack of Summer 2026.

A*POP is available for pre-order now via Since ’93 / RCA UK and arrives officially on July 24.
