Madonna has teamed up with Grindr for an exclusive vinyl of ‘Confessions II’.

Earlier this month, the Queen of Pop announced that her new album ‘Confessions II’ will be released on July 3, the sequel to her seminal 2005 record ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’ and the album she has been teasing since early last year.

She’s since officially shared her new single ‘I Feel So Free’ on major streaming platforms, after the song was given its debut on LGBTQ+ radio station Pride Radio.

Now, she’s unveiled her collaboration with Grindr – the social networking app for gay, bi, trans, and queer people. It comes following decades of allyship with LGBTQ+ people from Madonna, with the star famously having a large fanbase in the community.

As one of the “few brand partners hand-selected by the OG Mother,” a press release announces, Madonna is “taking over” the app to bring “community into her world — just in time for Pride season.”

For Grindr users, it means that their profile grid will now always contain one square devoted to Madonna. When they click on the square, a message from the pop icon herself pops up.

“Hi Grindr. It’s Motha. I made an exclusive vinyl of my new album just for you. I could have dropped it anywhere but I wanted to go where the hottest action was, so I got on the grid. Are you ready for Confessions II?”

The in-app experience features exclusive content, location-aware moments that appear in the Global Gayborhood and limited-edition product drops — one of which is an exclusive picture disc of ‘Confessions II’, handpicked by Madonna, available only for Grindr users.

Grindr has teased that it is “just getting started” with the artist takeover, which will extend to further offerings on the app and in the brand’s socials.

Since announcing ‘Confessions II’, Madonna also made a surprise appearance during Sabrina Carpenter’s headline set at weekend two of the California festival last Friday (April 17).

Shortly afterwards, she told fans that the clothing items she wore on stage had gone missing, and she is now offering a reward for their safe return.

Madonna reunited with Stuart Price (the producer of the original album) for ‘Confessions II’, which will come in two variations: a standard issue featuring 12 tracks, and a deluxe version containing four bonus songs.

She has explained that the new LP – the follow-up to 2019’s ‘Madame X’ – is best summed up in the opening lines of the track ‘One Step Away’: “People think that dance music is superficial, but they’ve got it all wrong. The dance floor is not just a place, it’s a threshold: A ritualistic space where movement replaces language.”

Madonna had revealed she’d been working with Price again back in December 2024, and then teased ‘Confessions II’ throughout 2025 and into this year. Last autumn, she confirmed that she had re-signed with Warner Records, and said she was “looking forward to the future, making music”.

The Queen Of Pop last played a run of live shows as part of her acclaimed ‘Celebration Tour’ in 2023 and 2024.
