As a member of BLACKPINK and one of K-pop’s most in-demand performers, LISA has probably often wished she had an extra set of hands — and at the 2026 Met Gala, she got just that.
In a new video from Vogue posted Tuesday (May 5), LISA, her stylist and designer Robert Wun take viewers behind the scenes of how the girl group star’s trippy avant-garde look came to life. Filmed during LISA’s final fitting before the Met the next day, the clip shows how she strapped on a pair of white mannequin-like arms — made from a 3D scan of her body — like a backpack, after which the team tried out different pieces of jewelry on her fake fingers and wrists.
“I am nervous for tomorrow, because my extra arms are really heavy,” LISA says at one point. “He said it’s 1.8 kilo, but I don’t think so. I think it’s heavier than that — but I have to fight through it.”
The final touch was a sheer white veil held up by the additional arms, making for a striking, theatrical look LISA effortlessly modeled on the carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4). But before the event, she told Vogue, “I don’t want to trip tomorrow!”
All four of the BLACKPINK ladies attended the 2026 event, although LISA and bandmates JISOO, JENNIE and ROSÉ chose to walk the carpet separately. It marked the White Lotus star’s second time attending the gala, the theme of which this year was “Costume Art” with a dress code of “Fashion Is Art.”
