BMG signed Australian artist, producer and songwriter Tash Sultana to a recording deal. The agreement includes future releases along with Sultana’s recorded catalog, which will revert to BMG in 2030.

Sultana said in a statement, “I’ve been an independent artist for a very long time and intentionally so. I wanted to see how far I could take it on my own, to build something real and meaningful from the ground up. Reaching this point has allowed me to enter a partnership from a place of strength and clarity about my future on my terms which was always my long-term goal. BMG felt like the right move for this next phase — an opportunity to grow, evolve, and take things to the next level.”

Added Heath Johns, president of Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia at BMG: “Tash is a generational talent with a global platform that has been built by relentless hard work and creative conviction. When our team heard the level of these new songs, we instantly knew we’d be the perfect partner to take Tash to even greater levels. We are grateful that Tash has chosen BMG and we are excited to join Tash on this next phase of their artistic journey—it will be their biggest to date.”

English pop alternative band Dexys Midnight Runners, best known for the 1982 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Come on Eileen,” signed with Heavenly Recordings. The first release under the agreement will be “My Life in England Pt. 1,” the first single off the band’s upcoming album LOVE, set for release on Sept. 4.

  • Astrid S (Rebellion Records)

Rebellion Records signed Astrid S for her reinterpretation of “Ja vi esker,” the national anthem of her native Norway. The song arrived ahead of Norway’s national day, known as Syttende Mai (Constitution Day) on Sunday (May 17). Astrid first performed the reinterpretation at the UEFA Women’s Championship opening ceremony in Switzerland.

“In the months that followed, the track began circulating organically across social platforms, where it quickly found a second life among Norwegian sports fans,” a press release reads. “That momentum has only grown as Norway heads into a historic World Cup campaign, with the track continuing to surface as an unofficial soundtrack across fan communities. Its rise has been driven less by traditional rollout, and more by a shared emotional response.”

The track’s release has been amplified by way of a national campaign with Norway’s TV2, where the track is being prominently featured across broadcast and digital leading up to the World Cup.

  • Adore (Warner Records/Big Beat Records)

“Anonymous” New York-based band Adore signed with Warner Records in partnership with Big Beat Records, a press release states. The first release under the deal is the group’s new single, “Feel It All Again.” The group’s debut single, “dancing while the world burns,” was released in 2023, while its 2024 single, “did i tell you that I miss you,” was certified gold by the RIAA.

“Adore’s creators have credits that stretch across artists ranging from Young Thug to Blood Orange to Chappell Roan, but Adore is something different,” the release adds. “The songs chew up ideas, genres, and eras for a voraciously omnivorous sound flush with dopamine-hit hooks and unrelenting energy. The music also exists within an animated universe being revealed bit by bit, centering on a group of friends fighting against a giant corporation in a dystopian future version of NYC.”

“We are thrilled to sign Adore — this boundary-breaking band exhibits limitless creativity and innovation,” said Craig Kallman, chief music officer at Warner Music Group. “Their exceptional songwriting, sharp production, and deep understanding of the online landscape make them uniquely poised to become a chart-topping, festival-headlining artist.”

“Feel It All Again” will be featured in the upcoming short film Violet and Marlow Rob a Bank from director Wesley Wang, which is set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.

I couldn’t be more excited to help get this art into the world with our team.”

“We’ve signed a lot of things in our career including more body parts than we can remember, but we have now officially signed with Frontiers Records,” said the band in a statement. “Serafino and his team sent us a better batch of drugs and hookers than they gave to Dave Mustaine and Megadeth, and we all saw how great that album did. Those Italians know how to rub us the right way, and they paid us while doing it. We can’t wait to go visit them in their homeland and enjoy their women and wine. Hide your moms, priests, and nuns.”

“We are excited to partner with Frontiers for this next chapter of the band’s career,” added Ben Weeks at Backstop, the band’s management company. “Frontiers has built a great team of respected industry veterans and their recent success on Megadeth has shown what that expertise brings. Frontiers is a major force in the independent label landscape and we look forward to working with them.”
