‘Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear’: Release date for “unfiltered” new documentary revealed

The release date for the new Travis Barker documentary, Louder Than Fear, has been revealed. Find all the details below.

The 90-minute film is set to receive its world premiere on Saturday June 13 at Spring Studios in New York, as part of this year’s Tribeca Festival. Barker will participate in a conversation about the project after the screening, too.

Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear is scheduled to arrive digitally on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the US, and via Disney+ globally on August 13.

Directed by Justin Krook and Michael Dwyer, the doc explores the Blink-182 drummer’s life and career, the 2008 plane crash that almost claimed his life, and the “raw and redemptive journey” he embarked on afterwards.

The film finds Barker “battling pain, grief and the thin line between survival and surrender”, per an official description. Louder Than Fear features appearances from collaborators, cultural icons and those closest to the musician.

“This is the story of the man behind the tattoos. A tribute to those who keep going when the music almost stops,” it adds.

The documentary was produced by Media Weaver Entertainment. Matthew Weaver and Nick Stern are credited as co-producers, along with executive producers Lawrence Vavra and John Janick.

“It’s an unfiltered look at my journey after a life-changing experience and also spotlights the amazing people I have in my life who carried me through it,” Barker explained (via Rolling Stone). “I feel incredibly lucky to be able to document it and be able to share it with all of you.”

He added: “This documentary started over 10 years ago and it’s been a wild, wild ride, and I can’t wait to share it with the world.”

In 2023, Barker shared a tribute to his friends who died in the 2008 plane crash. “Gone but never forgotten,” he wrote.

The drummer suffered third-degree burns on 65 per cent of his body and spent three months in hospital for 26 surgeries after the accident. He previously said that the subsequent anxiety and depression was so great that he “offered a friend $1milllion to kill him”.

He also explained that the crash made him quit prescription drugs, describing it as “my rehab”.

Barker has since overcome his fear of flying. In 2021, he took his first flight in 13 years with his now-wife Kourtney Kardashian.

In other news, Barker recently joined Clipse on stage at Coachella 2026. He also worked on the new theme song for the show Rooster, alongside R.E.M.‘s Michael Stipe, Andrew Watt and Josh Klinghoffer.
