Yasuhisa Hara’s Kingdom Vol. 79 holds at No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Book Hot 100 released June 4, retaining the top spot for a second straight week.

The long-running series depicting the Warring States period again leads in brick-and-mortar and collects additional points in e-books, e-commerce (EC) and social media.

Debuting at No. 2 is the final installment (Vol. 31) of Mayu Murata’s popular shojo manga Honey Lemon Soda, which ran in Ribon magazine from 2016. The series received a live-action film adaptation in 2021 and a television anime adaptation in 2025. The volume tops e-books and comes in at No. 2 for brick-and-mortar this week.

The latest volume of the manga adaptation of Yahiro Arase’s Ohitori-sama ni wa Naremashita node. Kon’yakusha Hochichu!, drawn by Jun Hareta, enters at No. 3 after placing No. 4 in both brick-and-mortar and e-books. The new short story collection Taruikon’intan by Yu Nagira — the author of the long-running hit novel Nanji, Hoshi no Gotoku — makes its first top 10 appearance at No. 8, with three metrics in the top 20: No. 2 for social media, No. 9 for brick-and-mortar and No. 16 for EC.

The Billboard Japan Book Hot 100 is a comprehensive chart combining physical sales, e-books, library loans, subscription data and social media activity. Below are the top 10 titles on this week’s list, tracking the period from May 25 to May 31.
