Robbie Williams has been named as the Foundation Ambassador and official front-of-shirt partner for Port Vale FC.
The pop icon is a life-long supporter of the football team, and has now signed a landmark two-year partnership with them.
As part of the new deal, his ‘RW’ mark will feature prominently on the front of Port Vale’s home and away shirts in both 2026/27 and 2027/28, and he will also work to shed light on the charity work done by the club.
Williams was raised just a short distance from the club’s home at Vale Park and has been a supporter of them for decades now. He also performed a huge homecoming show at the stadium in 2022.
“It feels pretty incredible, to be honest. Robbie Williams on the front of a Port Vale shirt… It’s a match made in heaven, for me,” he said. “I started going to the Vale when it was 50p for a junior supporter to get in. It takes a village to raise a child, and the Railway Paddock at Vale Park raised me.”
“I’m back here and back involved because of [Chair and Co-Owner] Carol [Shanahan] and
the family, and what they have created backstage,” he added. “Being embraced again by the Port Vale family has been very important to me, and it feels wonderful.”
With their charity work, the Port Vale Foundation helps launch various projects that support health, education, inclusion and opportunity for people of all ages across the city. They have recently confirmed a new three-year strategy, ‘One Vale’, which aims to integrate a greater sense of belonging across the community.
Williams is the first of several official Foundation ambassadors to be confirmed, and will use his platform to help ensure that the charity reaches those who need it the most. More names who have signed on as ambassadors will be announced shortly.

The new, official Port Vale 2026/27 home shirt with the ‘RW’ emblem will be available to purchase from Saturday (June 13) both in-person at the Club Store and online.
“This partnership means a huge amount to us here at the football club, and we are absolutely delighted to be working alongside Robbie,” said Port Vale Chief Executive Officer, Matt Hancock. “He is not only a global superstar, but also a genuine supporter of the club
with a deep and personal connection to our town. It’s that authenticity which makes this so powerful.”
“From the very first conversations, it was clear this was about Robbie’s life-long love for Port Vale and making a tangible difference to people’s lives. The support and exposure the
partnership will give to the club and Foundation will help us reach more people, create
more opportunities and continue using the club as a force for good,” Hancock added.
“We’re grateful to Robbie and his team and can’t wait to see the partnership come to life,
starting with the release of our new kits for 2026/27.”
The new collab with Port Vale comes following Williams breaking The Beatles’ record for the most UK Number One albums with his album ‘BRITPOP’ earlier this year. The LP dropped in January, and marked the 16th chart-topper of his solo career – surpassing the Fab Four who scored a total of 15 UK Number One albums.
In a three-star review of ‘BRITPOP’, NME described the album as “a love letter to the ’90s and a bid to live forever”.
“He’s standing firm. Rather than neck a BuzzBall on a Lime Bike and do his take on ‘Brat’, Robbie knows his game and has done a record for himself,” it read. “An album to be remembered for? Probably not, but it’s bold, it’s a laugh, and he’s done it his way. That’s what makes him Robbie. For that alone, he’ll live forever.”
Since hitting the milestone accomplishment, Williams has also been praised for hitting back at a “bully” podcaster who called him a “redcoat” and a “fraud”, and has teamed up with Reverend And The Makers for the introspective new single, ‘Fucked Up’.
