TRNSMT Festival kicks off this week. Check out the weather forecast below.

This year’s edition of the three-day event is due to take place on Glasgow Green between Friday June 19 and Sunday June 21. Richard Ashcroft, Kasabian and Lewis Capaldi will all headline the main stage.

Other bands and artists on the bill include Wolf Alice, CMAT, The Last Dinner Party, Sonny Fodera, English Teacher, Perrie, Loyle Carner, Big Special, NewDad, Jacob Alon and The Snuts.

TRNSMT recently teased a “very special secret set” for 2026, and has shared the full stage splits, which you can check out here.

As for the weather, the BBC predicts that the weekend will see some thunder and rain over Glasgow, with sunny intervals throughout. Take a look at the latest BBC Weather forecast below (last updated 15:00, June 17).

Friday June 19: Thundery showers and a moderate breeze, with a high chance of rain through the entire day. Temperatures range from 11 to 18°C.

Saturday June 20: Light rain showers with a moderate breeze, Saturday sees the weather pick up slightly, with rain easing off by around 6pm. Expect temperatures between 9 to 18°C.

Sunday June 21: Sunny intervals and a gentle breeze. Only a small chance of rain in the morning, which should ease by around 11am and pick up again at 8pm. Temperatures range from 13 to 20°C.

In other news, TRNSMT has adjusted some set times at this year’s festival to be able to show Scotland playing in the World Cup.

The nation has reached the World Cup for the first time in 28 years, and will be playing against Morocco at 11pm BST on Friday June 19 – the same night as Ashcroft’s bill-topping slot.

Fans attending the festival on the night will be allowed to stay behind to watch the game from Glasgow Green. It’ll be broadcast live on what the organisers describe as the “largest screens in the country”.

Elsewhere, during an interview with NME in May, headliners Kasabian spoke about the full-throttle festival banger feel of their ninth album, ‘Act III’, and teased what fans could expect from their live gigs this year.

“We’re rehearsing already,” explained frontman Serge Pizzorno. “It’s great and the set is just full-on relentless. We’re so excited. We’re reimagining the songs and it’s an eras-defining set with songs passing through from the start, a few little surprises and some mad bits that people will recognise.

“We’re just going to give the people what they want; that’s the story of this summer. It’s an excuse to go insane.”
