Wednesday and Mannequin Pussy to Play Rolling Stone Rock Tour in Nashville

Wednesday and Mannequin Pussy to Play Rolling Stone Rock Tour in Nashville

This is one show you won’t want to miss: We’re excited to reveal that Wednesday will play the Truth in Nashville when the Rolling Stone Rock Tour, presented by Miller High Life, rolls through town on Nov. 2 — and they’re bringing Mannequin Pussy along with them. That’s two of the best rock bands in America right now for the price of one, co-headlining one of the finest venues in Music City, plus an opening set from the rising North Carolina band Truth Club. Artist pre-sale tickets will go on sale Wednesday, June 24, at 10 a.m. Central (password CABAL), with the local pre-sale to follow on Thursday, June 25, at 10 a.m. Central and the public on-sale on Friday, June 26, at 10 a.m. Central.

This year’s Rolling Stone Rock Tour kicked off May 20 in New Orleans with a very special show by Bleachers. Next up are Geese, who will play Denver’s Summit Music Hall later this week on June 25, followed by Die Spitz on July 16 at the House of Blues in San Diego. We also have other great acts in store on Sept. 24 at Terminal 5 in New York and Oct. 15 at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, with full details to be revealed soon. This is the second year of our Rock Tour, following a successful 2025 run with sold-out shows by Mk.gee in Denver, the Beaches in Chicago, Wet Leg in Nashville, and MJ Lenderman in New York.

After years of slow-burn acclaim, Wednesday hit a new career high with last year’s Bleeds, which Rolling Stone called “a Southern Gothic nightmare (in a good way)” in our four-star album review. Recorded in the band’s home base of Asheville, North Carolina, it’s an accomplished set of songs full of lyrics that cut deep, singalong choruses, and bittersweet alt-country/indie-rock arrangements. “I’m always just on like a continuous writing mode,” singer and songwriter Karly Hartzman told RS. “I write whenever I get even the slightest feeling. Whenever I feel inspired by something I’m experiencing or remembering or watching or reading, it’s like a million different things, so I just never stop.”

Editor’s picks

Mannequin Pussy, meanwhile, earned a rep as one of the fiercest bands in Philly, or anywhere, with releases like 2014’s Romantic and 2019’s Patience — which we named one of the 100 Greatest Punk Albums of All Time — before breaking through to another level in 2024 with I Got Heaven. In a profile published shortly before the release of that album, the band explained their uncompromising philosophy and talked about why they still believe in rock & roll. “We’re often playing to people that are 15 and just discovering rock music for the first time,” lead singer Marisa Dabice said. “I don’t think the barometer for rock is what’s on the cover of Rolling Stone or the top of the Spotify charts. It’s at these types of shows, where people are experiencing a collective catharsis. And it’s very much alive.”

Trending Stories

The two bands have played together before, and it’s always a great night when you get to see them share a stage. In 2023, Hartzman and Dabice chatted about their friendship, life on the road, and more in a joint interview for the Talkhouse Podcast.

The Rolling Stone Rock Tour is presented by Miller High Life, the popular beer brand that’s become an American institution since its introduction more than a century ago, and in partnership with Sonesta International Hotels. Sonesta Travel Pass members can unlock exclusive perks at sonestaevents.com/rock-tour while supplies last.
