Watch Babymetal join Bring Me The Horizon on stage for ‘Kingslayer’ at Graspop Metal Meeting

Babymetal have joined forces with Bring Me The Horizon to play ‘Kingslayer’ at Graspop Metal Meeting. Check out footage below.

In 2019 the Japanese kawaii metal band told NME that they’d love to work with Bring Me The Horizon one day, and they went on to join forces on the blistering collaborative track ‘Kingslayer’.

That song was released on BMTH’s 2020 album ‘Post Human: Survival Horror’, and the two groups have only gone on to play it live together a handful of times – including in Japan in 2023 as part of Bring Me’s headline date at the WORLD Kinen Hall.

Now, they have come together three years on to break out the track again, playing it live at the annual ‘Graspop Metal Meeting‘ in Dessel, Belgium.

Both bands were on the bill for the event, and they came together for an immense live rendition. Check it out below.

Speaking about their collaboration with Babymetal previously, BMTH frontman Oli Sykes told NME that the band “wanted to do something with them for ages.”

“We’ve got a really special connection with them, even though we don’t speak the same language. We don’t hang out or have conversations, but when you see them, it makes you really happy,” he added. “They work so well with the whole idea of this record being cyber-punk-y. It sounds like an anime TV trailer.”

This isn’t the only on-stage collaboration that the Sheffield metal icons have done recently either, as they also brought out Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos to sing ‘Antivist’ with them at Hellfest.

BMTH are now gearing up to play as part of Outbreak Festival 2026, which takes place at Manchester’s BEC Arena on Friday July 10 and Saturday July 11. Both dates will also feature a limited edition run of merchandise, and support comes from Static Dress, Dying Wish, Rolo Tomassi, Heriot, Car Underwater and Still In Love.

Those two shows will see them perform their 2006 debut album, ‘Count Your Blessings’, in full to celebrate its 20th anniversary, and align with the band releasing a 20th anniversary “reactivated” re-recording of the LP on July 10.

Earlier this month, BMTH shared their new version of ‘Black & Blue’ ahead of the album release.
