Chase Infiniti has ATEEZ wrapped around her finger in the band’s new music video for “BAD,” which dropped Friday (June 26) alongside new mini-album GOLDEN HOUR Part.5.
The visual opens with the One Battle After Another star at her own wedding ceremony, looking gorgeous in a white gown as her groom has trouble sliding a ring onto her finger, which is already crowded with eight other rings — one for each member of the K-pop group, presumably. Chaos erupts when Seonghwa bursts through the doors and channels Michael Jackson in a white suit and hat, breaking into choreography as the other members, one by one, try to win over Infiniti’s affection.
After a series of dance-filled sequences where Hongjoong, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho try to charm the actress or spy on her dates with other members, everyone comes together in a courtroom where Infiniti is on trial for being, as described in the lyrics, bad. That’s when it’s revealed how much she’s been in control the entire time, with Infiniti busting out her own choreography and using her powers to make the bandmates mimic her moves.
The video ends with the judge declaring Infiniti not guilty, and she exits the courtroom by flashing her eight rings at the camera.
“BAD” is one of five new songs on GOLDEN HOUR Part.5, which comes a few months after GOLDEN HOUR Part.4. The February project topped the Top Album Sales chart, marking the boy band’s seventh No. 1 on the tally.
