System Of A Down with Queens Of The Stone Age at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium: stage times revealed

System Of A Down are set to kick off their UK tour dates later today (Monday July 13) with Queens Of The Stone Age and Acid Bath. Check out the stage times below.

The shows will be held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tonight and Wednesday (July 15), and follow on from Serj Tankian and co. kicking off the European leg of the tour in Sweden last month, before following it up with shows in Berlin, Dusseldorf and Paris.

These are their first headline tour dates in Europe since 2017, and the upcoming UK shows will mark their first in London in over a decade. Visit here for any remaining tickets.

Ahead of the gig starting tonight, support act Queens Of The Stone Age have shared the official stage times. Doors to the venue open at 5pm, before opening act Acid Bath –who are back after a 17 year hiatus – start their set at 6pm.

Queens Of The Stone Age then take to the stage at 7pm – and are expected to dust off some deep cuts from their 2007 album ‘Era Vulgaris’, as they have been doing at the earlier European shows. System Of A Down will then start their set at 8:30pm.

The full timings for System Of A Down at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are:

At the show in Paris earlier this month, System Of A Down made headlines thanks to the huge circle pits that opened in the audience during their set. They were similar scenes to last year’s concert at the Autódromo de Interlagos in São Paulo, which were so thunderous that Daron Malakian wrote on social media: “This is not a war zone, this is not a riot, this is a System Of A Down style Rock & Roll concert in Brazil!”

For each of the tour dates in the UK and Europe, the metal legends have been launching pop-up shops with exclusive merch and limited edition pressings of their seminal album, ‘Toxicity’ to celebrate its 25th anniversary, and the UK store is open now.

As seen with the earlier shows in Europe, tonight’s setlist in London is expected to be filled with fan favourites including ‘Aerials’, ‘Toxicity’ and ‘Chop Suey!’, as well as some deeper cuts and rarities.

Serj Tankian and co. dropped the singles – ‘Protect The Land’ and ‘Genocidal Humanoidz’ – in 2020, which marked their first new music in 15 years, having previously gone on hiatus from 2006 to 2010.

However, they are yet to record a full-length follow-up to their 2005 albums ‘Mezmerize’ and ‘Hypnotize’.

Last year, Malakian spoke to NME about the chances of more new music from the group, and said that it was the “album shit that drives wedges between” the members, and the frontman also seemed wary of it in another interview, saying that he had been put off recording after becoming “very passive” while working on ‘Mezmerize’ and ‘Hypnotize’.

He later doubled down on the stance, dismissing rumours that System would be teasing a new album with their tour dates, saying: “There is no album that is written.”

Since kicking off the recent tour dates though, the singer has said he and his bandmates are currently “having the best time of [their] lives as a band”.
