BTS build anticipation for new “Normal” music video with viral campaign

Global pop icons BTS are set to unveil the highly anticipated music video and Korean-language version of “NORMAL,” a standout track from their fifth studio album, ARIRANG. The music video and single will debut exclusively on Spotify on July 17, 2026, before arriving on all major streaming platforms on July 19.

Produced by Ryan Tedder, “NORMAL” explores the quiet space between the global spotlight and personal silence. The track features RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook delivering calm yet powerful conversational sing-rap over heavy kick-and-snare rhythms and psychedelic guitar textures, allowing the song’s emotional message to resonate with clarity.

To build excitement for the release, BTS launched a witty, tabloid-style teaser campaign in major US newspapers. Eye-catching advertisements appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle on July 13 and the New York Post on July 14, carrying the sensational headline: “BTS Seen in Bathroom Amid Mysterious Late-Night Gathering.”

The accompanying image showed all seven members in sleek black suits with their backs to the camera in front of a row of toilets. The playful text questioned whether the situation “was entirely normal,” prompting fans worldwide to dissect the clues and share theories across digital platforms, rapidly turning the campaign viral.

Currently wrapping up the record-breaking European leg of their massive BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’, the group continues to experience an incredible year. Released in March 2026, ARIRANG debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with its lead single “SWIM” also claiming the top spot.
