A Neil Young covers series that launched last year has two new installments on the way. MJ Lenderman, Kurt Vile, Lucinda Williams, Ben Gibbard, My Morning Jacket, Ann Wilson, and a collaboration between Modest Mouse and Califone all feature, as do King Princess and Draco Rosa, whose tracks are out today. Others to contribute include Devendra Banhart, Los Lobos, Peter Frampton, and Edie Brickell. The first volume was the source of Fiona Apple’s take on “Heart of Gold” (but not Justin Vernon’s; that was a coincidence). The compilations benefit a longtime beneficiary of Young’s advocacy: California’s Bridge School, which serves children with extensive speech and physical disabilities.
