Kelly Osbourne Pens Devastating Letter to Ozzy Osbourne 1 Year After His Death: ‘Your Voice Still Guides Me’

One year after Ozzy Osbourne‘s death, Kelly Osbourne has shared a heartbreaking letter addressed to her late father on Instagram.

Posted Tuesday (July 21) alongside a black-and-white photo of the Black Sabbath frontman as a young man, the message opens with the TV personality writing, “My Daddy … Today I sit here beside you in a way I never thought would be possible.”

“I know you are still with me,” she continued. “I feel you in the quiet, in the wind, in every song that stops me in my tracks … I have never loved anyone or anything as deeply as uniquely as I love you. And now I carry all of that love with nowhere to place it except within me, my son, and mumma. It aches every single day, but it is also the greatest privilege of my life.”

Kelly went on to express how much her dad would love her 3-year-old son, Sidney, whom she shares with Sid Wilson. After welcoming Sidney in late 2022, she and the Slipknot DJ got engaged in July 2025 before reportedly calling it off sometime around March following Ozzy’s passing.

“Every single day I catch glimpses of you in him. Your smile. Your spirit. Your mannerisms,” the Fashion Police alum wrote of her son.

“This past year has broken me in ways I never knew were possible,” she continued. “Everything you warned me would happen, happened. But I want you to know that I listened. I did everything you told me to do, and I will continue to follow your words for the rest of my life. Your voice still guides me every day. Until the day we meet again.”

Ozzy died at the age of 76 in July last year, just a couple of weeks after playing his farewell concert with a reunited Black Sabbath. The heavy-metal pioneer had battled Parkinson’s and other health issues for years leading up to his death.

Kelly — who is the youngest daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne — has previously touched on the struggles she’s faced in the aftermath of losing her father. A few weeks after he died, she posted on Instagram that she “will not be OK for a while,” a few months after which she slammed people criticizing her dramatic weight loss.

“To the people who keep thinking they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like ‘Are you ill,’ or ‘Get off Ozempic, you don’t look right,’” she said in an Instagram video at the time. “My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family.”
