Charli xcx achieves her first No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart Music, Fashion, Film debuts atop the Aug. 8-dated ranking. It’s her sixth top 10 in total. She previously topped out at No. 2 twice, with BRAT in 2024 and Crash in 2022.
The chart-topping arrival of Music, Fashion, Film also scores the singer-songwriter her best sales week ever, as it opens with 57,000 copies sold in the United States in the week ending July 30, according to Luminate. That sum combines purchases of both physical and digital download copies of the album.
The set was released for sale in its first week across 15 vinyl variants (including three signed editions), four CD variants (including two signed editions), four digital download editions (including one with three additional B-sides) and one cassette.
Music, Fashion, Film was announced on June 1. Its release on July 24 was preceded by the Billboard Hot 100-charting hit “Rock Music.”
All told, the new album debuts in the top 10 across six charts: Top Album Sales (No. 1), Vinyl Albums (No. 1), Indie Store Album Sales (No. 1), Top Rock & Alternative Albums (No. 2), Top Alternative Albums (No. 2) and the Billboard 200 (No. 3).
Elsewhere on the Top Album Sales chart (dated Aug. 8), The Strokes log its sixth top 10 with the No. 2 bow of Reality Awaits, Shania Twain nabs her seventh top 10 with the No. 6 start of Little Miss Twain and Waterparks gets its fourth top 10 with the No. 7 arrival of JINX. Also notable, Tyler, The Creator’s former No. 1 Don’t Tap the Glass reenters the chart at No. 9 after a one-year anniversary vinyl pressing was released.
