Indie legend Jamie T has announced his sixth studio album Ghosts (100 Days of Morning), a deeply personal 11-track collection arriving October 9.
The record sees the British star confront the “ghosts” of old ideas and reconnect with parts of himself he says he once kept “at arm’s length.”
To launch the album, he’s dropped its opener 3310, named after the iconic 2000s Nokia mobile phone. Its seaside-set video, directed by Rob Thorogood, leans into surreal early-morning chaos — that strange hour where joggers and night owls cross paths.
The new album also features major collaborators. Damon Albarn contributes writing and keys to Cocktail, while Hugo White of The Maccabees fame co-produces Crucible and Tallahassee, adding to the record’s mix of grit, melancholy and indie-era warmth.
Fans who missed out on tickets for that Alexandra Palace moment can catch him at a one-off show at London’s Scala this Thursday (20.08.26).
The Sheila hitmaker said: “Everyone has a part of themselves they keep at arm’s length, even from the people they love. Ghosts to me is about seeing that version of yourself for the first time in a long time and trying to hold on to it. This album is me trying to find that again.”
Ghosts follows a huge run for Jamie, including his sold-out Finsbury Park headline show in 2023 and this year’s Fred Again collaboration Lights Burn Dimmer.
Jamie hailed his 2023 Finsbury Park gig the “biggest moment of my life”.
The 40-year-old singer/songwriter played his biggest ever headline show in North London in July 2023 and praised the tens of thousands of fans who turned out in the rain to watch him and his band.
He said: “Hello Finsbury Park, thank you for coming down. You guys look good in the neighbourhood right now.
“Are you with us? Because this is the biggest moment of my life right now.”
Jamie – real name Jamie Alexander Treays – took a moment mid-set to thank his fans for making the concert so special.
He said: “We’ve been doing this for near enough 20 years and this is the first time we’ve ever played our set in the dark.
“This means the world to us, thank you so much.”
