Australian Promoter Fuzzy Unveils New Brand Identity at 30-Year Mark

Australian live music promoter Fuzzy has launched a new brand identity to mark its 30th anniversary, unifying its portfolio of festivals and touring business under the Fuzzy name for the first time.

The company, now led by CEO Adelle Robinson, traces its roots to 1996, when co-founders John Wall and Ming Gan launched Sublime, an 800-capacity club night on Sydney’s Pitt Street.

By 2000, that had grown into Parklife, a national touring festival that helped popularize Australia’s “indie-dance” movement before folding into Listen Out in 2013. Fuzzy went on to build a portfolio that includes Field Day, Harbourlife and Shore Thing, and has credited itself with helping break acts including Flume, who played a small Parklife stage as a Triple J Unearthed winner in 2012 before returning to headline Listen Out and Field Day within a decade.

Wall and Gan stepped away from the company in 2025; Ming Gan retired that December, with Robinson — Fuzzy’s managing director since its early years — stepping into the CEO role. Fuzzy has been a subsidiary of Superstruct Entertainment, the global festival platform founded by James Barton, since 2018. Superstruct was itself acquired by KKR from Providence Equity Partners in a deal valued at roughly €1.3 billion ($1.4 billion) in mid-2024.

“Thirty years is a huge milestone in live music, particularly when you think about how much the industry has changed since 1996,” Robinson said in a statement. “What I’m most proud of is that Fuzzy has kept moving with it. We’ve gone from Sublime to festivals across the country, regional shows, touring and new live formats, but the instinct has always been the same: back great music, build the right experience around it and give people a reason to come together.”

The rebrand lands during an active stretch for the company. Groovin the Moo returned this year with a one-off Lismore show after a two-year hiatus, while Field Day marked its 25th anniversary and is set to return again on New Year’s Day 2027. Fuzzy also launched The Point, a concert series at Sydney’s Fleet Steps featuring Missy Higgins and the Teskey Brothers, folding longtime event Harbourlife into the series alongside standalone headline shows. In February, the company debuted Golden Hour, a 15,000-capacity Bondi Beach event headlined by Crowded House, and separately brought U.K. festival Mighty Hoopla to Australia for the first time on the same stretch of sand. Fuzzy also secured the license to run New Year’s Eve celebrations at Bondi Beach.

From now on, the company’s club and DJ touring business — recent bookings have included Mochakk, Dennis Cruz, Disco Lines, MEDUZA, Gorgon City and Levity — will operate under a new “A Tour by Fuzzy” banner.

The company also runs MobTix and Affordability Tix, discounted-ticket programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patrons and concession card holders, and says it diverted 650,000 cans and cups from landfill across its major shows in 2024 through on-site recycling.
