Wynonna Judd’s daughter will have to give birth while incarcerated after a judge denied her request for temporary leave to undergo a Cesarean section.
Grace Pauline Kelley filed a document last month asking for a temporary release from jail to welcome her second child, Us Weekly reports.
She is currently serving a 15-month sentence at the Rockingham County Jail in Harrisonburg, Virginia, after pleading guilty in June to felony driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Legal documents obtained by the outlet show that a Virginia judge denied the temporary leave of absence, although law enforcement will escort her to hospital for a C-section on a scheduled date. The baby is expected to be born this month, although it is not clear when or if indeed it has already happened.
The documents also state that Kelley has no relationship with her biological family.
Kelley has previously accused Judd of knowing her ex-stepfather, DR Roach, was abusing her as a child. Judd was married to Roach, her former bodyguard, from 2003 to 2007.
Roach was arrested in March 2007 in Texas and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery on a child under the age of 13.
He was convicted of attempted aggravated sexual battery. The victim was never identified.
Kelley revealed in an interview with the Daily Progress last year that she was 10 years old at the time of the alleged abuse, which came to light when the family went to counselling.
“When he was arrested, and it came out in the news, that’s when she divorced him,” she said of her mother.
“So is my mom rich? Yeah, she’s so rich that she was able to sweep me under the rug and then cover it all up,” she claimed.
“I don’t want to talk bad about my mom, but we’ll just say she’s a good performer. She was never a mother.”
Judd has reportedly been caring for Kelley’s toddler daughter Kaliyah for the past two years.
