Travis Kelce has shared details about his “magical” wedding to Taylor Swift.
The American football player opened up about their nuptials on the latest New Heights podcast episode, released on Wednesday.
Flashing a glimpse of his new gold wedding ring, Travis told his brother Jason Kelce, “At this point, we’re what, over a month out? It’s been so much fun. I wish it could’ve lasted even longer than it did; it felt like it just happened in the blink of an eye.”
It’s been nearly two months since he and the Shake It Off singer tied the knot at Madison Square Garden on 3 July. The ceremony, officiated by Adam Sandler, saw the pop star and Kansas City Chiefs player say I do in front of 1,000 guests.
“It’s a night out we’ll never forget,” Travis continued. “Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up, from the vows to just seeing everyone, to how much fun we had, throughout the entire evening and hearing that kind of be relayed through everybody’s stories of the night. And it was just so magical, man.”
The star-studded guest list included Brad Pitt, Paul McCartney, Lena Dunham, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Hugh Grant, Dakota Johnson, and Sabrina Carpenter, among many more famous names.
Addressing the no-phones policy inside the venue, Travis noted that it was “so cool to see how everybody interacted” without their devices, adding that the policy “makes everyone be in the moment and be present”.
“It was so cool seeing everyone from my childhood, not only mesh with Taylor and her childhood and her family and friends and people that she works with, to who we’ve come in (contact) with over our career and who we just admire as people and have become good friends with now,” he stated.
The sportsman addressed his wedding publicly for the first time last month, giving brief comments to reporters at the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp in Missouri.
