Fans have been decoding another new teaser video shared on Oasis’ social media, and believe potential gigs are being lined up in Amsterdam.
Rumours have been swirling around a possible 2027 tour, which would follow up their hugely successful ‘Live ‘25’ reunion shows held around the world last year. Reports have claimed a 12-night residency at the Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City Football Club, and a return to Knebworth are on the cards.
The band’s official X (formerly Twitter) account recently shared a teaser video of two boys waiting in a chip shop, with Oasis’ 2002 hit ‘Little By Little’ playing on a television. Eagle-eyed viewers noticed that numbers on flyers posted around the shop added up to the longitude and latitude of Celtic Park in Glasgow.
Then, in another video posted, two boys were shown playing football against a brick wall leading some fans thinking this is a tacit confirmation of the 12-night residency at the Etihad. Others also believed that a hint at Knebworth may have been suggested in the clip.
Now, a new clip shared by the band, shows two men being chased by the police before one stops to deck two fingers to them before another, also dressed in an adidas tracksuit, drags him away. The sound of birds and a ferry horn can also be heard in the background.
Fans have immediately claimed that the tease is for dates in Amsterdam but many also drew attention to the band’s notorious drunken brawl on an overnight ferry to the city in 1994.
“On the ferry to the ‘dam” chaos,” wrote one fan in the comments section, while another added: “Amsterdam. Where they got arrested on the ferry.”
The band were heading to the Netherlands for their first-ever international tour date at Amsterdam’s Paradiso Club when the incident happened. Liam Gallagher and the other band members apart from Noel Gallagher became embroiled in a punch-up with football fans on the ship.
They were arrested and deported back to the UK on what would have been their first gig overseas in 1994.
Speaking about the incident in the 2016 documentary Supersonic, producer Mark Coyle recalled: “The drink of choice for a few hours was Champagne and Jack Daniels (during the trip).
“The next thing, sporadic fighting is breaking out all round us and Liam got very excited by the prospect of a lot of chaos going on and he goes and joins in. You can see him running through the windows along the deck. He’s having a great time. It looks like he’s in a school playground chasing leaves. The next time I see Liam he’s still running up. He’s got policemen running after him.”
“As the fight broke out all I remember was it was a bit Benny Hill,” Liam added. “It was fucking mayhem man, I loved it. It was punk rock man.”
Noel also recalled: “I called (Alan) McGee and I’ll never forget this and this is another reason why I love McGee, I said: ‘Are you sitting down? I’ve got some news, everybody has been arrested’. The only word he said was (adopts Scottish accent) ‘brilliant’.”
The Gallaghers also rowed about the incident in an infamous interview with John Harris for the NME which was released as a single in 1995 known as ‘Wibbling Rivalry’. It holds the record as the highest-charting interview release in the UK Singles Chart, reaching Number 52 in November that same year.
Meanwhile, Liam and Noel Gallagher are tonight (September 7) appearing at the UK premiere of Don’t Look Back In Anger at Cineworld Leicester Square in London after it made its debut at the Venice Film Festival over the weekend.
The documentary will be released in cinemas, including IMAX screens, worldwide for a limited theatrical run from September 9, while it will stream on Disney+ around the world, and on Disney+ alongside Hulu in the US, from a later date in 2026.
NME gave Don’t Look Back in Anger four-and-a-half stars, in a review which called the documentary “masterfully done”.

By the end, you’ll be itching to do it all over again – and maybe, just maybe, we might,” we wrote.
